Just wondering about other peoples thoughts on this game!
Spent a whole drunken night playing this til 4 in the morning with a mate recently and had a brilliant time! Everything from playing that retro depth charge game to build up your lives, to pressing B to smash someone in the face during the running cutscenes...genius!
Got beat by the final boss having spunked away 32 lives between us! Let down, lol! Look forward to trying again though!
Nice one!

I like it but haven't played it in a little while. I always get stuck on like the 4th level.

I like it too. Great if ya playing with another buddy and it has decent longevity. I believe I completed it once a long time ago. Since then I haven't been back to play it, so it just sits near the bottom of my saturn games collection. I'd say its pretty average because as beat 'em' ups for the Saturn go, there are better games out there.

as beat 'em' ups for the the Saturn go, there are better games out there. Apart from the D & D games and 3 Dirty Dwarves, what other scrolling beat 'em ups were there for the Saturn? I love Die Hard Arcade, but it's not as easy as it's made out to be.

There's Batman Forever and Crows. They are both rather crappy games though

D&D, Tenchi Wo Kurau II and Guardian Heroes are 3 beat 'em' ups I would put above Die Hard Arcade.
I'm playing D&D right now. So awesome!

DOH!! LOL I missed out Guardian Heroes Sorry, I was thinking in PAL terms. I remember being desperate for a decent scrolling fighter back in the day. Apart from DHA and GH, it didn't happen.

I can't believe some people make this out to be easy, I've never even come close to finishing it. Great game though, really eventful and just oozes fun.

LOL my son loves the bit where the enemy gets kicked in the nuts and hops backwards grabbing his groin. He thinks this is hilarious.

I managed to beat the game a few times. it's good fun for what it is.
I just gain about 10-15 credits in the deep sea thing and just play from there.

Popped in Die Hard Arcade again today. Took me only a few minutes to get back into the groove of it. Man, does this game kick butt. I wish they'd done a better conversion as far as the graphics and load times, but nothing beats swinging foes around, snatching at weapons, or even getting your butt handed to you in this game.
Tried out Deep Scan for the first time and discovered that it accumulates credits for Die Hard Arcade.* Dumb. Why didn't they just let you pick how many credits you got on the Options menu?
I've heard you can access the Japanese version(Dynamite Deka) from USA and PAL releases of the game, but I can't remember now how you do this. Can someone refresh my memory?
*Now I can understand that last sentence in the above post!

Oh yeah, I love this game! I remember playing the demo all night long with my buddy on the sega flash I own it in PAL, US and JAP version... Without the additional credits in deep scan I would definitely suck but after many playthroughs you know the trick. Besides the end boss the scene where you fight 2 robots is the hardest in my opinion. I don't know if there is a japanese version in PAL and US game. But there is an expert mode when you hold X+Y+Z+B in title screen. You will now have 4 credits and the enemies will be a little harder to defeat. But playing the japanese version is really fun when you have to guess in the quick time events because it is written in japanese

But playing the japanese version is really fun when you have to guess in the quick time events because it is written in japanese INTERESTINGLY... or, erm, not... as may be the case, IF... you have a region switch AND an Action Replay (multi-region cart) plugged in you can run Dynamite Deka, in 60Hz, while set at PAL region with the AR running the game for you (phew!). This actually (and I've only ever noticed in this game) lets you see the QTE's in English as opposed to Japanese! Same happens if you run DHArcade on JAP Region with an AR (thus changing QTE's to Japanese!)... although the optimisation removes the bottom of the screen @60hz Sooo... yeah. Now you know. (p.s. I hope that makes a small slither of actual sense?)
