damn today i played for the first time Panzer Dragoon Saga on my Saturn. I paid 150 Euros for this game. It was worth every cent.
Everything in this game is great: Music, Graphics, Characters, story batlesystem.
I think that this game was a response from Sega against Final Fantasy 7. This was a Saturn game at this best!!!!
I`m proud that i played this game!!
Why Sega lost the code for this game?? It would be great to play this game on 360/psn.

So I'm still on Mel-Kava. Started it up the other night and destroyed the reactors no problem then did battle with Azel/Atohlm (sp). My hit points were low but so was hers and I chose to go for the kill instead of replenishing my hit points. Needless to say my shot did not finish them off but theirs did finish me. I had to start back at mt save and now can't get past the reactor in which you sit under the platforms to destroy. I keep getting swept out with the light particles when I try to move under a platform. AAAAAAAAAARGGGGGGGHHHHH!!!!
Funny because I was just thing to myself how funny it is that Azel keeps threatening me yet she is so easily defeated everytime we fight.

I`m runnig out of health items before a boss fight. Is there a shop where i can buy items? anyway this game is great. It reminds me of Shodow of the Colossus and Ico. This game is art!

Yeah, as Dixosaurus hinted, work on Panzer Dragoon Saga was started before Sega could have even known Final Fantasy VII was coming for the Playstation and not the Super Nintendo, much less specifically what it would include. If Panzer Dragoon Saga was a response to anything, it was the success of Panzer Dragoon I. Panzer Dragoon Saga certainly is a unique offering in terms of gameplay, graphics, and story. One of my favorite video games of all time, and I only wish they had made it more challenging; I only died four times on my first playthrough. It never fails to pull me in whenever I load it into my Saturn. Mainly, I think, it's that I really care about the characters, and the cinematics make their situation so utterly convincing. The idea of a story-driven RPG, after all, is to make you feel like you're actually part of a great story, and Panzer Dragoon Saga does a better job of that than perhaps any other game I've played. Just be prepared to be disappointed by the ending. Oh, and yes, there are shops, but not at the part of the game you're at, as I recall.

MAJOR BUMP Playing this now, just completed Disc 3 and I agree with the sentiments above. Looking forward to smashing Disc 4 soon It's been an incredible ride, it's a visual masterpiece on the Saturn and it really excels in story delivery

Your posts are making me want to play this again. I think I'll start with PDZ and play them through in order (PDZ is a prewuel after all). Hopefully this time I will not have unreasonable expectations based on hype on this playthrough.

Wrapped up business in Panzer Dragoon Saga! it wasn't so hard playing the Japanese version, the game structure is pretty straight forward but the boss battles in Disc 4 are a REAL workout that's for sure! I feel fortunate to have been able to experience this truly one of a kind game. If you can't fork out $200+ dollars for the English version then the Japanese version is quite the viable alternative! Amazing atmosphere and a truly fantastic battle system. Really enjoyed the story too. One of the all time greats on the system and beyond, that's for sure! Quick thoughts on the ending That's some seriously trippy Metal Gear Solid 2 shit right there....before there was Metal Gear Solid 2! And good God..THIS SONG IS INCREDIBLE!!!
