Does anyone own this specific saturn: Black Sega Saturn US Sega Sports ? Or it never existed and was just a sticker put on the saturn by someone ?
I never saw one myself.

Source?
The Dreamcast definitely had a black Sega Sports version-- maybe someone is confusing the two?

Nope, never seen one of these either. It does seem to be a case of someone confusing the DC Sega Sports console more than anything else (or at least a custom job if it actually exists?).

Sega Retro just copies stuff from everywhere without actually researching anything, so I wouldn't trust them to have legit info. That machine may be from a normal box, with someone adding a sticker to it.

Thanks for the link madroms. It's very difficult to tell if it's actually a sticker or not from the photo, but the 'TM' makes it look like it's painted/stamped onto the console. That said, if it is a sticker/decal, the colour alignment is a little off and the white seems a bit jagged in places (especially on the right hand side). Still, thanks for sharing, it's just a pity that there are no solid details.

Look at that site. It says the image was just uploaded on 12/2/2012... just a couple of weeks ago. I can find absolutely nothing regarding this possible version. I agree that it does look to be a tamograph and not a sticker. The user Pufis created their account that day and the only contrib was adding that photo. Here's the auction where the user bought it from the US: www.ebay.com/itm/170935614058Funny enough, the photo metadata shows where the photo was taken... 33° 37′ 49.47″ N 117° 19′ 38.18″ W Nice house! It could still be a custom. But note that it is using the Saturn era Sega Sports logo, and not the one as featured on the Dreamcast. I sent the original seller an email about the origins of it. I grabbed the images from Ebay as well to save for when the auction disappears. For now, you can see the back and bottom information from the auction.

Good going on the research front tripredacus. Let's hope the original seller can provide further details. Although frankly I still think it's a custom job. Also, looking at the original listing it's hard to tell if that's just dirt at the front, or residue from varnish around the Sega Sports logo!!? Regarding the fact that it's an old style Sega Sports logo, well you only have to look at a copy of Daytona, Victory Goal, World Series Baseball etc. circa 1995 to find the logo, so it isn't particularly strange that it isn't the newer revised version. Let's just wait and see what the seller has to say (if anything).

The seller did respond but didn't know what I was talking about. I had to clarify what it was I was asking. I can see this as being an issue since I had used a foreign ebay to message the seller about the item. US Ebay doesn't have that option anymore lol. I can see it being confusing since I wasn't the buyer. I figure it isn't worth asking the buyer the history of it since he probably wouldn't know. BUT maybe I can ask him to clarify if it is a sticker or a tamograph.

I really think this is just a regular Saturn with a sticker placed on it. My memory is admittedly pretty crappy but I kind of remember this sticker being packaged in one or more of the US Sega Sports games. If not Saturn then Genesis or 32X.

Hope you don't mind Tripredacus but I emailed the seller as well thinking it may be easier to communicate as I'm in the US too. Here is his response: " Yes it is in fact a sega sports edition. sega made them for one year as they were trying to popularize their professional sports games. ......Nah just kidding. wanted to have a little fun with you. It was only a sticker. I noticed that someone had slapped it on so I left it. glad I could debunk this one for you. I have to admit. I was pretty tickled to be the cause of a retro stir-up."
