There's no digital audio in on the OSSC, you can however add a digital audio out via a upgrade board.
I don't have a supplier for saturn SPDIF mods, so no we've never done them.

Cheers Bucko. There would be no benefit to a digital out on the OSSC, as the audio signal going in (via SCART from the Saturn) is analogue. Therefore it's already been converted before it reaches the Naim DAC. I'm making this too complicated, so I'll just keep my eye on the newsletters for the standard OSSC

Atolm, I'll make sure to check out Adam's video on this. Just for you ahahaha, I got ya. Since he doesn't actually discuss anything there isn't another video on this.

While we are at it, I've a question about the ossc. Does it allow you to save screenshots? I recall the xrgb being capable of something like that.

The framemeister has a freeze mode, where it will lock the screen with the frame at the time you hit the button. I don't think it can write a RGB bitmap to the SD card. At least I've never seen the option. This doesn't really matter for either device though. If you're running a capture card you can always just go back and pull the frame you want for a snapshot.

I remember someone once posted xrgb screenshots from an sd card. But he may have been using a capture card instead. oh well.

Here's the Framemeister menu flowchart. www.micomsoft.co.jp/XRGB-mini_Ver203_OSD_E.pdfDon't see anything for snapshots, would be kind of neat though.

There was something on the XRGB3 that could do it, if I recall, I think you had to run some software on the PC though, it's probably on the wiki somewhere.

Adam Koralik provides very little new or valuable content. I'd understand his popularity but he just bores on and on, far too many words to say not much. No idea how he's so successful, maybe just good at getting topical videos out at the right time. Pretty much nailed it Barry. To me he is the worst gaming Youtuber out there. I watch at least 10-15 decent retro channels regularly and find them all decent enough. But Koralik is just awful. Just about every video he does is full of guesses and BS. Then he does a video on the Saturn only to say he bought a copy of Panzer Saga that he won't really even play, just wanted to show it off. And like you said, a complete bore. Nothing redeeming. As for the topic at hand, Im still dead set on the framemeister myself after seeing Mike from AVGNs crazy capture setup. Of course he has just about every option going on. Id like to start capturing footage as well so I assume the FM is the way to go. Id say Mike is pretty dry but at least in a slight endearing way. Met him a few years back. Also does the NEW Framemeister (the one they are allowing pre-orders for) have any new features over the one from the past year or so? Was wondering if I should just pre-order and wait or spend a bit more on Ebay to get it faster.

No new features. The preorders are simply because they ran out of parts, and there was an interruption to the production. It's still the same Framemeister they've been making since 2011.
