Even though you've already decided Ill just add another big YES Xmas Nights is one of the best Saturn games/items that was ever released. Sure that might sound like a bit much but it was more than just the game itself. It showed for once during that era that Sega cared enough that they took the time (I heard 4 months?) to make a free disc to give to fans. On top of that really is that its a magical experience. Nights in itself is a total package of emotion, music, color, and smooth gameplay. But when you add those feelings with those of Christmas (and other holidays I should add) you have the makings of something special. Had they made a full release Id have had no problem paying for it but for what it is, its great. Tons of secrets and unlockables. Had no idea it was this different! Will definitely have to give it a good play when Christmas time rolls around. I've got the regular Nights so I'll have to play and complete that before

Also there are alot of secrets for other holidays. If you set your system clock to the proper dates, you will get themes for I think Halloween, Valentines Day maybe? Can't remember all the ones that were included.

Can't remember all the ones that were included. On April Fools it lets you play Raela too, I believe. I didn't see anyone mention the music mixer that lets you change the emotions of the Nightopians for the full release version of NiGHTS. This let you change the music in the game, which was SWEET!

I believe its called AI by Naka and crew. Its amazing how much detail and thought went into even the smallest aspects of the game. I spent hours trying to get all of the different music tracks on the levels by messing with the 'topians. The music is already amazing but its quite a thrill when you find out after hundreds of playthroughs that there were different variations of the same song!

I didn't realise playing with the music mix in Christmas NiGHTS changed the music in the full version of NiGHTS. No wonder Spring Valley is stuck on a version I'm not keen on. I'll have to have another play with it.
For those who are unaware, every version of the level music from the full game is available on the NiGHTS Into Dreams Perfect Album as continuous tracks.
As for the OP, Christmas NiGHTS is definitely worth getting but the length is closer to a demo than a full game. The unlockables give the game much more length though.

At least once a year I will stream the album on Youtube. Id like to pick up the physical version one of these days but I believe it has gotten expensive.
