Hey all. hope all is well.
So I recently got a AR 3in1 cart and flashed Pseudo Saturn kai lite on it, Ive made two copies of Guardian heroes and two of burning rangers, basically the only one that spins is the earliest burn of burning rangers and then that freezes after the sega trademark screen. One of the guardian heroes did play the intro and got to the main menu but after that froze on black screen, now it doesn't spin at all. All official games still work its just the backups that still refuse to work.
Ive done everything the Racket boy tutorial has said to do which I shall list now
-mounted them to virtual drive with daemon tools (that works)
-checked that theyre patched using the region patcher software (PAL uk specifically)
-Tested in yabause emulator (I notice that when running in pal mode on emulator it runs a little faster and the audio skips but using the frame skipper solves this, should it run normally without framskipper?)
-Using imgburn at 8x speed (even verifying them the last couple of burns)
The problem could be a couple of things, 1. the position of the cartridge in the slot as all the way in doesn't activate pseudo saturn, 2. bad images, I downloaded pal ones and checking with the region patcher they are confirmed pal versions but run flawlessly using NTSC mode in yabause or 3. quality of CD-R's, as the ones I'd originally bought made by AONE were completely incompatible with my saturn. luckily my bro had some memorex discs which I had seen someone say in a thread somewhere that they sweared by them.
If there is anything ive missed out in the process or any tips to get the games to yaknow actually play would be much appreciated
Cheers.
