I have always wondered why Lunar Silver Star Story Complete MPEG version cutscenes have never made its way to YouTube, so I tried to extract the video files from the ISO, thinking, well hey, they're MPEG-01, right? That's the whole point of the game is to have the "high quality" video codec using the Saturn's video card. Curiously, though, the videos all seem corrupted, even if I'm playing it with Windows Media Player classic. You can see flashes of video, and some garbled audio, but the file itself seems corrupted somehow. Has anyone been able to figure this out?

they used to be up... Well a playthough. I think I was the first to upload them back about 2006 till someone from what appears to be from SEGA made a complaint and got a lot of us banned for copyright stuff... I'm currently slowly replaying the game again and uploading what I can. My main complaint about those mpegs are they seem to be very soft and contrast is a bit too low for my liking. But anyway good luck if you can make them better. It's always nice to see the Saturn versions of the Lunar games especially the audio.

Nice. That's good to know that someone has preserved it. I am more interested though as to what file encoding the MPEG-01 uses on the Saturn... Does anyone know why the file format seems to be corrupted when you extract it from the BIN?
