VFR was released in the card box and the music CD style double case. ive never seen a plastic case Wing Arms though. Never played Wing Arms. Is it a good game? I'm gonna say no, unless you like average WWll flight sims, which I don't, but it's all down to taste. I also dislike thunderhawk ll, my least favourite game on the Saturn. I own the jp version, but it lives in a drawer on its own, kept apart from my good games. This is as positive a review I've ever seen for this game... www.segasaturn.co.uk/games/pal/W/wingarms/

Would have been neat if Wing Commander III got a Saturn release.

Very imformative review. Thanks for the info.

I played the first one on the 3DO , it wasn't bad. seems like Titan Wars never got a PAL release, so a US copy would be the next best bet, unless I go for the PS1 version.

Titan Wars did get a PAL release as that's the version I have. The US version is called Solar Eclipse.

So for me to purchase it I'll have to get rid of a game and I've still got a few Saturn games to get rid of.

Fighters Megamix was only ever in a Plastic Case But Sega Ages was first released in a Cardboard case so it couldn't have been the first plastic case game because the re-release's of Cardboard cases came after Plastic Cases were already on the shelf. It was not a re-release that came later. Sega Ages Vol 1 for the most part came in a plastic case and was already in one on release day. To some old gits like me it was a Daytona USA/Sega Rally moment to those who had been waiting for OutRun to come home as it was meant to be seen..., having had to make do with the C64/Spectrum/Amiga/Atari ST/Master System & MegaDrive versions. Two different disc producers & printers may of been used hence the plastic and card but yeah, this was the first time the plastic case was seen by me and I can only add that depending on the shop or supplier it was bought from would depend on which one you may of got on release day. That is interesting to know, seems lke a strange method to produce Sega Ages in that way but hey...I feel you're pain, as I also had Outrun on the C64. You've given me a midnight chuckle. Lets relive those memories

The only good thing that came out of these early home ports of OutRun was the music cassette. Saying that, it was awesome to have a copy of the actual arcade tunes to play over and over again though.

I've seen Virtua Fighter 1, Fighting Vipers and Virtual On in these cases.
Incredibly rare though.

Some of the major stores here in the UK (Electronics Boutique etc.) had empty plastic cased Saturn games on display that I know now for a fact never had a plastic case release, they were merely display cases, which could explain why a number of people have spotted games in plastic cases that we've never seen in one before.
