Hi folks I discovered the forum through a Reddit post, and figured i may find more dedicated Saturn enthusiasts here. I live in South Africa, and first owned a Saturn around '96, although availability was very scarce around here. Playstation had a much bigger presence locally, but i sided with Sega. I sold my collection while growing up and have obviously come to regret doing so as i imagine many of us have. Nowadays, I've turned to retro collecting. I collect for most post-NES consoles, but the Saturn has a special place in my nostalgia-driven heart. I've built up a small game collection for the model 2 i found locally, and am loving reliving many of the classics, or at least the ones i can afford. Pleased to meet you lot.

Welcome.
What's the TV standard in S.A? Is it PAL or NTSC?

Thanks! The standard here is PAL, but because so many console generations weren't readily available here, people resorted to importing a lot. So when stuff does turn up these days its often a mix bag of regions.

Thought it might have been PAL but just wanted to check.

I missed this one but welcome and Ive always wondered about South Africa's Sega Saturn presence. We know Europe's and Australia's, but always wanted to know about RSA.
Hopefully you return to post more Mike.
Id love to know if RSA had any special packaging or stickers put on Saturn games when released locally?
