Wasn't there a few additional changes made to the Satakore version over the original JPN? I've often heard the JPN Satakore version is the definitive version. Watching that video above it appears there is a noticeable difference between the PAL and JPN version. Some games indeed get minor changes in the Satakore release, but Tomb Raider did not. The Satakore.com page would list it if it had. For what its worth, the main executable file date for Tomb Raider PAL is 1996/09/17, for USA 1996/10/24, and for the JPN version it is 1996/12/04. However a later release alone does not mean that the code went through major changes.

Regarding Satakore reprints, I know that the Satakore reprint of Souky fixes some bugs over the original JPN release. Soukyugurentai got a 2nd print that already fixed its bugs, and THEN later on it got the "Otokuyou" release which has the Battle Garegga demo on it. It never got a Satakore reprint though. I don't actually recall any Satakore title that had a code change that you could notice in-game. And all the games that DID get a code fix, got it before becoming Satakore titles (Souky and its fix, Outrun crashing on 1997+ Saturns, In The Hunt JP not booting on anything, etc).
