Final lot of polls before Christmas. Here we have the import Mech experience. Which will it be: Bulk Slash, Mobile Suit Gundam Side Story The Blue Destiny or Gungriffon 2? Pick one and list your reasons why. BULK SLASHGUNGRIFFON 2MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM SIDE STORY BLUE DESTINY

Bulk Slash. Such a beautiful looking game that was rather easy to play without understanding Japanese. Also because it's third person.

All three are great games! I can't vote for just one.

Bulk Slash is an amazing game and so much fun but it falls down hard with the lack of save feature. Yes it can be completed in just over an hour if you are REALLY focusing but it's not the type game that I ever wanted to dedicate a huge chunk of time to all at once. It would have been nice to have the option to opt in and out over a time period and not have to finish the game all in on sitting. And for that reason I can't vote for it.
Gungriffon 2 I've never played but own the first Gungriffon and consider it one of the best Saturn games period. Everyone should own that game. Game Arts did an amazing job. But I can't vote for the sequel on the strength of the first game if I haven't played it.
The clear winner for me had to be The Mobile Suit Gundam Side Story Blue Destiny series. These games are just incredible. Absolutely flawless gameplay and top notch graphics that were pushing the Saturn to its limits. Side Story 2 is my favorite but they are all flawless. Thsee are Saturn gems that still remain unexplored by many. They are also the games I turn on when people say Saturn couldn't do 3D. Absolutely flawless gems.

Gungriffon 2 is a good sequel , I wouldn't say its better than the original , but its certainly worthy. Ive heard complaints it doesn't look as good, but I don't know, Id say it looks better, just not quite the leap one would expect after 2 years.

I still get enjoyment outta the first game. Looking at the video footage it doesn't appear to be graphically better than the first. They look like they may be on par with each other.

I would say the textures are a bit better in the sequel , almost like things look just a bit clearer , but I would agree the differences are fairly small
I am somewhat interested in those gundam games though , never cared for the anime (or most anime for that matter) , but I do like fast mech games. how import friendly is it?

It's extremley import friendly. Even more import friendly than Bulk Slash imo. Very easy to get to grips with. You should definitley pick it up if you liked Gungriffon. There are 3 Blue Destiny Side Stories. It's worth getting all 3 as they are incredibly short.

I may try and get the first one, and if I like it, Ill be on the look out for the others. They certainly don't seem to be expensive so it shouldn't be too bad.

Bulk Slash is one of the few games missing from my collection that still interests me.
Having said that, while I like Virtual On, I never play it.
How does Bulk Slash compare?

It's a lot better but they are two completely different genre of game. Virtual On is your standard vs fighting game while Bulk Slash is a fast paced mech action game with various mission objectives. As mentioned above the only thing I don't like about Bulk Slash is thr lack of save points but other than that it's a real Saturn gem.

Ah ok. Virtual On feels like it's designed to be a multiplayer game, so maybe I'd get on better with Bulk Slash.

ON THE TECHNICALITY...
That, for whatever reason(?) you put Gun Griffon 2 instead of the original Gun Griffon, I opted for Bulk Slash as my choice.
However, had you stated 'Gun Griffon', I would have chosen that instead (as never played the JP only sequel)
