Wow, never knew about D-Xhird and Zero Divide. D-X looks pretty good, but I obviously have to vote for the one I've played. Anarchy in Nippon is a nice little novelty game, but nothing to get excited about

NeoGeoNinja used to loved D-Xhird, he even commented on the game in his avator signature. Anarchy in Nippon has always looked too goofy for me to ever take it seriously but it has a huge cult following so I imagine it must be a good game. Zero Divide: The Final conflict is visually a stunning game and it plays incredibly well. The only problem I found with the game was it was incredibly dull. All the individual chaacters lack any sort of personality or appeal. Being robots isn't even an excuse as all the characters in Virtual-ON have personality. But there was just something about Zero Divide that just made it un-appealing to me despite the fact it plays so well.

Incidentally Toshinden was one the first 3D game I played, in an arcade of all places in 1996 (I did play Doom/Wolf3D/Dark Forces previously, but those weren't 3D as such). The main problem with Toshinden were the floaty controls, if they managed to fix that, it would make for a decent game.
I agree on Zero Divide, it plays well ,but it does lack the personality that stuff like VF2 , Virtual On or Last Bronx have.

I actually thought Neo was being serious lol There was a time when I was considering buying it having been inspired by Neo's avatar. Glad I didn't now. I suppose it's one of those that looks better than it plays.

However, I much prefer Zero Divide 2 on PS1 (very similar to ZD3 btw).
