Hello there, I just recently got a Sega Saturn handed over to me by a band mate, and it's having issues saving.
The battery has been replaced twice to no avail. Once I power it off, after a minute or so when I power it on again, it requests me to choose a language and set the clock, and saves are deleted. It is a Model 2 NTSC Saturn, without the "Battery Reset" button.
I wouldn't mind losing the save capabilities since I plan on buying a back up cartridge (the official Sega ones), but I can see the clock reset becoming annoying (+ extra save slots would be nice nonetheless).
I have searched on this issue, but couldn't really find anything that matches my issue properly (cleaned the battery, there is no ribbon under the battery, and as I said earlier there is no battery reset button). Is there anything I should look for that is known to cause such issues?
Thanks in advance.

It's good to check with DMM if the socket of the battery actually have +3V.Just measure at it's pins - and + with battery in it. May be the socket is bad.
