Today my Japanese Saturn and my first Game Last Bronx finally arrived and I really ad fun testing it.
Now I am looking for ther decent fighting Games besides Virtua Figher of course which I have ordered allready as well.
X-Men Vs. Street Fighter is supposed to be a nice game as well according to the internet. Would you recommend it too?
And how about he street figher games? Are they equally good on the Saturn or is there a must have SF Game which is better than the others?

Fighters Megamix is pretty good. Also DoA has an option to enable/disable bouncing breasts, so that´s probably worth a punt too.

Thanks I will take a look at Fighters Megamix. And thanks for menioning DOA too. I am a big Fan of Dead or Alive 2 and I always wanted to play the orginal.
I think I have read that the Saturn version is the best Port of the first DOA or was it the other way round and the playstation port? I am not sure to be honest..

You need to specify what console you have and its abilities i.e is it NTSC or Pal? does it have 50/60hz? Can you play imports? e.t.c. Knowing this would be benificial with the type of Fighting games I would recommend. Also I wouldn't bother with the original Virtua Fighter. Just get Virtua Fighter 2 instead.

Fighting Vipers! I find both Virtua Fighter games to be rather slow-paced and a lot more technical, which isn't my type of fighting game. Fighting Vipers is pretty much the opposite of that, on the surface it looks the same but it's a lot faster and I enjoy the breakable armour and arena barriers you can smash. If you don't like VF 1 or 2 go for this one.

Virtua Fighter has a certain charm to it, though generally its best to go for Virtua Fighter 2 instead . There is also Dead Or alive which is a very nice fighting game.
X-men Vs Street Fighter is very good, though I do prefer Marvel Superheroes vs Street Fighter, maybe its the roster, but they are very similar, remember to get the 4mb cartridge.
All of the SF games are great on the Saturn , my personal favourite is the 4MB Street Fighter Zero 3 , but the issue is that its expensive, around the £150 mark (got it back in the day for £40), if you want something a bit cheaper, you can get Street Fighter Zero 2 which is still fun , or get the Street Fighter collection which has Super Street Fighter II/ Turbo and Street Fighter Zero 2 Dash (updated version)
Another 4MB Capcom fighter of note is Vampire Savior, basically Darkstalkers 3 , and very fun (a bit more challenging in my opinion)
Also of note are the SNK games, all of which are 1mb cart games (alot will work with the 4mb cart , but a few have issues) , these include the Samurai Spirits games, King of Fighters 95-7 and Real Bout Fatal Fury Special.

Actually only KOF 96' and Samurai Shodown 3 have issues. RBFFS, KOF97 and SS4 all play fine with the 4mb cart with no issues. Obviously KOF 95 is not applicable as its a ROM cart and not a RAM cart.

Yes you won't need US or PAL capability if you're focussing on fighting games.
In my opinion the ones to start with are Street Fighter Alpha 2 (or Collection) and X-Men vs. Street Fighter. If you don't want/ have a 4MB cart then straight X Men is good too. I like Marvel Super Heroes as well but some find it too easy and basic. Capcom Generations 5 is nice if you want a very retro Street Fighter experience. SFZ 3 is great but expensive and might not be worth the extra unless you are a big fan of the series.
I personally don't enjoy the Sega 3D fighters (Virtua, Vipers, Megamix), find them too floaty and a bit dull to play. I know they are very popular though. Try DoA.
