Next week i will finally get a small CRT exclusively for playing lightgun games. I am allready looking for nice Saturn lighgun at eBay.
What lighgun Games would you consider as I must have for the Saturn?
I want go get House of the Dead and Virtua Cop for sure. Are there some other decent titles you would recommend?
Thanks for the help in advance.

Virtua Cop 1 & 2.
Both excellent. Both fully optimised for PAL too.
I used to own Chaos Control. It was OK but that was a while ago now so couldn't recommend it strongly. It might not have aged well.
I also owned Mighty Hits. This is a nice game with plenty of variety but I don't think it has aged very well. Looks a bit ugly now. It was better as a multi-player game anyhow.

Virtua Cop 2 is easily the best with a close port, multiple routes, great gun sensitivity, a Saturn-exclusive route and the ability to shoot the shit out of everything.
Virtua Cop is arcade perfect, offering all the thrills of the coin-op plus an all new training mode. It feels slower than VC2 but is still great fun. Plus it has a great soundtrack.
House of the Dead is an awesome game with a so-bad-it's-good cheesy story, multiple paths, a killer soundtrack and some great boss designs. But it's a poor port. As long as you don't mind poor gun sensitivity, horrible textures and frequent pauses for loading mid-level, you should get some enjoyment out of it.
Area 51 has a cheesy sci-fi story set in the infamous Nevada base. It has FMV backgrounds, which look odd compared to the other games on the list and hence has a cage on all sides of the screen to hide to smallish video window, but if you can get past this, it's a fun, if easy, game.
Maximum Force is similar to Area 51's FMV stylings but I haven't played it enough to offer an opinion on it.

virtua cop 2 by far. the only thing the first virtua cop has over it is the music.
house of the dead just looks too ugly for me and I've never been a zombie fan. the sequel on the dreamcast is better anyway.

I'll agree HoTD on the Saturn is quite ugly graphical wise, but me and my friends have had a blast playing it. Its fairly difficult compared to some of the other Lightgun games on the console (though that could be due to the wonky gun calibration)

One that hasn't been mentioned that I enjoyed. Crypt Killer by Konami. Similar to House of the Dead that visually it's not great. But I think it plays well, has branching paths and is enjoyable. Try it out....
As mentioned Virtua Cop 1 & 2 are certainly must owns, personally I'm not a huge fan of Area 51 and Maximum Force. Maximum Force goes for crazy money these days and really isn't worth it. Lucky I picked up my copy for $20.

Thanks a lot for the answers. You helped me a lot.
@house of the Dead I agree that it does not look nice visually but it has a certain appeal to me so I want to try it. I am a big Fan of House of the Dead 2 the Arcarde and the Dreamcast version so I want to own the Original as well.

Not the best visually but solid gameplay.

Definitely recommend Virtua Cop 2 and House of the Dead. Virtua Cop 1 is also good.

ps: Never heard about Crypt Killer but it looks intersting. It is not the best looking lighgun game for the saturn out there but it still looks intersting.I like the horror setting. Could be fun. I will try to get it too.

Not as many light gun games as you would hope for on the Saturn, here's the lion share of them:
Area 51 Chaos Control (European version) Chaos Control Remix (Japan) Crypt Killer Death Crimson Die Hard Trilogy (Second game based on the second film only) The House of the Dead Jinzou Ningen Hakaider: Last Judgement (Japan) Maximum Force Mighty Hits Policenauts (Japan) Scud the Disposable Assassin (North America only) Virtua Cop Virtua Cop 2
The best three games are by far Virtua Cop 1 & 2 and THOTD. I quite liked the game in Die Hard Trilogy and I always had a soft spot for Mighty Hits on Saturn as it was the closest game to Point Blank, but a bit dated now. SCUD is a strange game as pending on the controller connected, depends on how you play the game, it's a terrible run and gun with a joypad and an OK light gun shooter with the virtua gun. If you liked the arcades of Area 51 and Maximum Force they are worth buying, but MF isn't that cheap to buy these days.

Just way to many enemies and they do so much damage. Not a big fan of it as run n gun either though Totally forgot about die hard. I need to get that one. And like i said never buy Death Crimson!

Area 51 is good fun if you don't take it seriously; the enemies are (from what I've played) FMV on top of 3D backdrops like Mortal Kombat; imagine a bunch of cheesy 80s action film actors somehow got trapped in a Sega Saturn game.

I really like Area 51. Easier than some of the other ones so its a good one to play with friends. Also like how it just keeps looping until you die. Also some of the FMV animations are priceless. I think the one scene has one of the police making a hilarious dive into cover. Ahh good times.
