I've noticed a lot of the streamers have input displays for their controller when showing gameplay from games that came out post 2000. I was wondering if such a thing is possible to do on the Saturn?

They probably just use emulators.

AYe. It's likely to be hardware that captures the button presses as per the link above.
Streaming software seems to be pretty sophisticated too. It looks like it interprets the image and is able to capture timings during the game. Some nice jobs.

I did a bit more digging and they don't exist for any Sega console AFAIK. Probably not the demand or market place to make them worthwhile atm.
