Phoebe ODE and stock PSU question about removing a piece.

Hey Saturn UK users, I have a quick question to ask.
I have installed my Phoebe along with the 3D Print tray parts assembled.
Now there are countless threads about the 12v issue with the Dreamcast PSU when using GDEmu and whether or not to remove that small piece.
I am going to ask the same question if there is a piece I have to remove from the stock board in order to run the Phoebe without electrical heat problems?
I am planning to order the neat looking SaturnPSU from retropsu when they are in stock sometime in the future which will be handy when I enter the V110 countries such as America.
