So I was just reading on Sega retro that the JPN version of Crimewave supports the Arcade Racer and the Mission Stick. Apparently there was a bit of time between the Western and JPN release that Eidos was able to develop the game further and improve on things. I'm wondering if this also includes the frame rate and the jerkyness that plagues the the western version. So my question is, does anyone have the Japanese version of Crimewave and how does it play? And is JPN version really an improvement over the PAL & US versions?
Looking at videos on youtube I really can't tell the difference/

I have the JPN version only... so I'm afraid I can't compare!

I have the JPN version only... so I'm afraid I can't compare! Fair enough. Do you experience any jerkyness whilst driving around? Does the game play smoothly to you? These are all symptons that plagued the PAL version so I'm curious to know if they were still present in the JPN version or if the game was improved upon so it's been claimed.

I'll have to check it again when I'm back home next week, but it didn't feel jerky to me! buuuuuuuut I don't remember super well. I'll give it a try.

I suspect it also had a few minor bug fixes and not much else. After a copy of it myself, I heard it also supported the analogue pad to, but not listed on the spine card. So could just be it works due to the steering wheel support.
PAL version has a terrible bug where the music doesn't play at 50Hz, only at 60Hz, not a claim to fame any game wants.
