Hey team,
I just picked up a bnib Saturn (jpn, white, hst-3220) console. I have never owned a Saturn before. I want the best picture so I bought a rgb SCART cable and an rgb upscaler (not a framemeister or ossc, but also not a $10 one either).
When I play games I sometimes get nicer/more clear pixels on screen movement or light flashes. Otherwise, the pixels look terrible. I owned a PSX and I don’t remember it looking so ugly and that would have been through s-video/composite. I am wondering if its maybe a cheap/bad cable; or if any of the above observations lead to a diagnostic of any other.
Appreciate your time and insight!

H How does the console look without the upscaler, using just the TVs scalers. Also, are you playing 2-D or 3-D games? 2-D games tend to look better via rgb, although it’s a bit harsh for some. 3-D Saturn/PSX games look a lot better on CRT, maybe that’s how you remember them?
