Hi all, Just wanting to know, which stick is better?
I don't own both, only the "Virtua Stick" but looking at purchasing the "Hori". I hear the Hori Fighting Stick is the best...... but then again i hear that also for the Virtua stick!
Now lets see, what the people have to say!

The Hori. However I do like the Virtua Stick, it's pretty much the most responsive 1st party stick I've ever used but that's not saying a great deal. The Hori feels that bit more solid and well built and in fighters and manic shooters you can also tell that the controlls are that tiny bit more responsive than the Virtua Stick.
I think that either is a good buy tbh, but if you were torn between the two I would recommend the Hori every time.

The Hori SS is without doubt the best "out of the box" stick I have ever used, and its fully moddable too, unlike the Virtua stick.
there are a couple of Saturn virtua sticks though.......
The white virtua stick does look cool, especially the 2 player "Asto City" version, and it's arcade standard....... out of the Saturn Virtua sticks, the one to go for.......
Avoid the black plastic PAL virtua, and go for the JP grey one, rumoured to be better.

What you mean by "fully moddable"? =/ All saturn controlers use the same chip inside, I forget its name, but it is essentially two of the MD pad chips inside the same plastic housing. This is the dual unit Japanese version: The Single unit model 2: Model 1: Note that the model 2 use standard Arcade microswitch buttons - there should be no difference in "response" between these any any other microswitch buttons, since they are either on or off. I think the actual sticks themselves might be leaf switch.

I gotta go with the Virtua Stick, though I'm speaking of the 2nd generation models of course.

All buttons/switches/joysticks are not made to the same standard, yes they may be microswitches, that has nothing to do with the response or spring of the button though, or the feel/precison of the stick, that is down to build quality and components...... Sanwa and Seimitsu make the best quality parts........ Oh, and by fully moddable I meant that you could switch all parts without desoldering, redrilling or chopping/hacking/sawing.......

Build quality my ass, I have two of these blasted things: And despite them being intitially brilliant both now have dead zones on the stick and switches gone on the buttons, the clicks to failure rating is awful. At some point I need to stip both and use some quality parts when re-building.

When i decide to change my fighting stick then next question in my mind is what is the best fighting stick right now to buy it. To get answer of this question, I google and read some articles which helped me to choose the right fighting stick. I like to share the link of that article here. jeuxarcades.com/best-arcade-fight-stick-for-fighting-games/. I must say it will be very helpful for you.
