Hey guys. I recently bought an old 14" Sony Trinitron to use all my retro systems with and it's fantastic. It also means I can dig out my Stunner light gun and play games like Virtua Cop and HotD the way they're meant to be played.
Initially. Nothing was happening when playing VC, a few reinsertions and it came to life! excellent! I go to the gun calibration screen and notice two things wrong with the gun
1) The gun doesn't register towards the bottom of the screen (about 20% of the screen) and registers a shot outside the screen instead
2) calibration tends to drift when not aiming center of the screen. Aiming on the right side would register a shot further right then where I'm aiming.
I cleaned the plastic lens in the stunner and tried HotD to see if issue persist, and it did. Could this be down to the light gun or could it even be something wrong with the tv? Anyone else come across this issue before?

It's best to adjust the brightness and contrast controls of the CRT. I have found that helps a great deal. In fact you might have to turn them up a bit higher than you would for other games.
Also make sure the room is evenly lit. Having a window facing the screen might cause difficulties too.
