I've still to play Nascar. I always thought it looked ok, but was put off by the rubbish reports. Is it like the Nascar half of Andretti Racing? Not sure, ive never played Mario Andretti (apart from the Megadrive version) but someone posted a review on it here saying it is worse than Mario Andretti in almost every way The draw distance is terrible , you can see the track being created in the very near distance and the graphics are just plain ugly in places. But i had to get it because i want all the EA sports games from 98 Still havent found madden 98, seems to be rare in PAL format

I came across a Saturn Wheel today for 99p in the Cambridge Gamestation random hardware bin it's normally just full of PS1 controllers but recently I've managed to get a SNES mouse and now the Saturn Wheel.

Apparently they've got another one hanging around so I'm tempted to grab it on Thursday if I can

Yatta, my backup cartridge finally arrived. But I'm wondering what were those odd saves like hh_virus or one which size was like 92547 blocks (actually it was just one block)...

I've bought a couple of Saturn games for the first time in ages, with these two games I'm finally making a start on my Saturn shooter collection, of course both games are Japanese but the language barrier won't be a problem (if it ever is with shooters) the fact that I've not got a Japanese Saturn or an Import adaptor is the main problem. I'll probably be sending an e-mail off to Rob Webb in the near future about those new black Action Replays he's got in, they're a bit more expensive than the grey ones but look far better . Finally getting on to the point of this post the games I've bought are: Darius Gaiden and Layer Section. ;D EDIT: Already e-mailed Rob Webb, I've noticed he's got a jap copy of Nights in stock so I'm having that and possibly Darius 2 depending on what price he quotes.

Sega Ages vol.1 Finally I could play original Outrun though I couldn't "finish" it today. Same for Space Harrier (I got only to the 3rd level) and After Burner II (4th level), they're quite hard and I like it

Cool, Sega Ages Vol.1 in Japan has totally different games on it, mostly Sega's really, really, REALLY old Arcade games, like Pengo. Sega Ages Vol.2 in Japan has Doki Doki Penguin Land, not really a SEGA game, but still one of my faves

nah it's got a regular cardboard sleeve but unlike most it's got the tab things that hold the manual in place which is nice.

Today I popped in to the Norwich branch of Gamestation which is apparently a 'retro specialist' it seems that retro specialist means half the amount of shelf space that used to be given over to retro stuff before Gamestation started dropping the retro stuff is used. I did notice though that they've got a few consoles at reasonable prices but I'm starting to run out of space for more consoles. On the plus side though I spent a fiver and got Daytona CCE, Resident Evil and Virtua Fighter 2. Most of the other Saturn stuff was Sonic Jam and Sonic R there were about 5 copies of each but they also had Athlete Kings, Nights and Street Fighter Alpha 2. Only Nights is of interest to me but since I've got a copy on it's way from Rob Webb what's the point in buying another one?
