My action replay plus 4 in 1 cartridge arrived today, sure they're very common but until I decided to place an order with Rob Webb I'd never seen one like this, it works like every other AR but it's not the usual light grey it's black and therefore looks a lot better with a PAL Saturn as the photos below show. It cost a little bit more than a normal one but I think that a small premium is worth paying for something a little different. Oddly though it arrived brand new in the regular grey AR box.

It's the new 2007 version with an upgraded firmware, it's very nice ;D

Yeah the firmware is something like v2.02 (so newer even than the 2007 grey ones), Rob Webb lists it as the Western Edition 2007 version.

What advantages does the new firmware offer?
Any resolved compatability issues with games?

They removed the Comslink port? Lame. Sure very few people could use them, but it was still nice to have. Though if they still update these carts, something like a USB connector would be an awesome upgrade.

I would buy another one if it had a USB port, having a computer backup of my game saves would be bloody useful.

Yeah, I've got one with the com port, and use the Datalink USB to back 'em up to PC. =) Think I've already plugged it in another forum - but here I go again. ^_^: www.gamingenterprisesinc.com/Nonetheless, am curious to know about the new firmware in the latest version - and definitely kudos on the black. =)
