S-Video all the way, Saturn S-Video on a HDTV looks incredible. I use an RGB scart with my HDTV, You can clearly see the edge of every pixel... SO SO SHARP!! Easily just as good as S-video.

Yeah, some retard "Home Cinema" magazines have said in the past that S-Video is better than RGB.
Suffice to say, anybody who pays $150 for a "Monster Cable" S-Video lead is a complete idiot when you can buy an RGB for $30 or so.
Regarding Monster Cables; As long as a cable is well made it will produce a good signal, any gold plating and OFC only serves to protect from degradation over time, however unless you live under water, it is not going to make a notable difference.

You mention Composite or RGB Scart....My Saturn Scart lead came packaged in with my Saturn when I bought it from the high street (black case, grey buttons model), - do you know which type of scart it is likely to be?

The SCART that came packaged with the Saturn is Composite Video as Sync + RGB.
So if you plug it into a composite only Scart socket, you get composite.
Plug it into an RGB Scart socket, you get RGB.
The Dreamcast's RGB Scart is RGB + Sync only, so plugging it into a composite SCART socket results in a black screen!

If its got a sharp picture then its true scart.. if it's slightly soft and you can change either one of the TINT or Sharpness then it's composite.. I'm sure the last time I checked true scart don't allow you to change one of those.. and I think its tint..

'True Scart' is a misnomer. The term SCART only refers to the pinout standard and plug shape.
The SCART cable provided with the Saturn is RGB With composite video as sync.
