Was playing this yesterday, does anyone else have the same problem with it when trying to save a game in that it takes most of the memory cartridges space up?

Yeah, Hexen saves take up heaps of the memory cart for some reason. You're better off using the password system. Not that Saturn Hexen was that good in the first place anyway...

thanks.
Yeah, Hexen hasn't dated well at all. If this had come out a year before it did then you could half accept the graphics but since it came out after Exhumed on the Saturn there's no excuse for how poor graphically Hexen is. Thankfully Sega took charge over Quake & Duke Nukem 3D and got Lobotomy to convert them to the Saturn. If it had been upto GT Interactive they would have probably got Probe Software (Hexen conversion) and Rage Software (Doom conversion) to convert them.

The PlayStation port of Doom sucks balls also, they replaced all of the sound effects for some reason or another.

Don't know if anyone knows, but hexen has a mode of play where you connect 2 saturns together for deathmatches.
Can't remember exactly how, but it was in SSM once.

One quick search for Hexen on Game FAQS later...
First of all, select "options" at the title screen then input Up, Down, Left, Right, Y, Y, Z, Z, A, X, Up, Down, C and finally B to unlock a cheats menu, which just so happens to include the hidden link-up mode you mentioned. However, please note that it was never fully optimised and varies between running at near-unplayable frame rates or crashing entirely - you have been warned!
Anyway, going slightly off-topic for a moment, did you know that GT commissioned two independently produced conversions of Quake for the Saturn? Probe did indeed start work on a port, but they lacked programming expertise so duties were handed back over to id before the press discovered this early code's failure. Not even the legendary coding skills of John Carmack would prove enough, though a little-known US group called Lobotomy had recently impressed Sega Europe with a game titled Powerslave. Following a rename to Exhumed for PAL regions, their next project was the ambitious double-header of Duke Nukem 3D and Quake (not forgetting Death Tank Zwei, as well)!

I really wish Lobotomy would've handled the Doom port.
As it is, the Saturn version looks pretty good but that framerate is terrible!

I'd rather play the 32X version of Doom, and that's really saying something.
