The Dreamcast motherboard does this to the CR2032 Batt on the motherboard.
Sadly the same is not true of the VMU ;(

The only thing that worries about this mod is the fact that there's nothing in place to prevent over-charging which worries me a bit Pete

A much cleaner solution would be to Wire the connector to an AA battery, that could probably power the Saturn for well over 3 years :/
