Hey guys, I have stumbled onto this AR some time ago, when I got it, it was not working, it would boot but would not boot to games so I reflashed it with Rob Ivy's AR update. I believe this is a 1mb model, but i'm not certain it's not a cheap knock off! Any help? Here is the sticker, the lettering is a bit off in color and font from other ar's I have seen.. Ems sticker Internals

Judging by the label I'd say its an old model of the cart. Certainly won't work with 4mb games. What do you mean by "it would boot but would not boot to games" exactly? If the cart bios comes up fine, but it freezes when booting the actual game, then its probably your Saturn's cart slot.
I remember once I had one that worked great, but it crashed everytime I tried to transfer saves from the Saturn's internal memory. Pulling the cart out by a few millimeters fixed it though.
EDIT: The cart looks quite dirty as well. Give the contacts a nice cleaning job.

To answer your question, it had a couple of problems. When I first recieved it it would not boot to games, it would Load the AR OS (not the amiga os emu) but if you tried to do anything it would freeze (ie. try to view cheat list, try to launch game, etc.) In the event I could get it to view the game cheat list, the list abruptly stopped at the letter L.
While in general I would agree the likely culprit was the cart slot, I reflashed it with a new bios and it began working fine . If any of you haven't used it the flash tool is awesome, and can update 1mb and 4mb ar's to latest firmware.
