Ok so I have the boot disk as you all know from my stupid posts about it before.
I recently downloaded and burnt albert oddysey since im a uge rpg fan and it was never released in PAL which sucks.
I used madroms awesome tool to make the game PAL format rather then US.
Worked perfectly and all that however someimtes when there was a cutscene at the start with speech etc the speech seems faster than the animation on screen.
I understand this is because the games running 17.5% slower then what it should be.
So here's my theory.
Would editing the sound files (which are all MP3 FILES in roms and isos) and slowing them down 17.5% then burning them into a disk make it run in time with cutscenes or is that just stupid lol.
Either way it's not a huge thing, the game runs perfectly and everything is great. just that single first cutscene.

most likely, whilst the music will be in mp3, the speech will be embedded in the iso. Installing a 60hz switch is probably the way to go.

yeah that's a good point.
I guess a 60hz switch is something i'll have to look at in future.
The slight off time-ness doesn't bother me at all though anyways so it's not a big problem for me. As long as I understand whats going on and it doesn't ruin gameplay im happy.

Even if that did work, slowing the speech down will make it sound like... well, you know... slowed down.
50/60Hz switch is the only way to go.
