Hi guys Just a quick annoyance, has anyone upgraded to a large scale LCD tv with a saturn and found the picture distorted? is there a setting to scale the saturn settings up at all? im using scart connection in back as always, picture colour and everything is fine but i played shining force and its so pixelated. also it wont save to console memory, is that the case of a new battery? and if so will somewhere like maplins sell them? Thanks J

New battery for you, and yes Maplins sell them.
As for your TV certain games are of course going to be pixelated, that's the price you pay for upscaling the image.

The best soultion is to play with tv settings, primarly lowering sharpness to the minimum and stuff.

Really you need a quality upscaling device. The XRGB2/2+ is generally considered the best. Or you could just keep an old CRT around like I do.

XRGB2 is not an upscaler, it's a line doubler. Video from line doubled signals is still gonna be pixelated, perhaps even more so (since you've already directly doubled the resolution, those squares are even bigger than they were before and then they'll get scaled again by the TV).
It will enhance the definition, the TV will probably just upscale from the native resolution directly, causing a lot of blurring. It's all about whether you prefer squares, pixels, or scan lines. (And Scan Lines are fuckin ugly on big screens, 32" CRT 240p is a no thx)
A large amount of the annoyances you see is also to do with how close you sit to the screen. Don't sit with your ass on the manufacturer emblem and most stuff should look pretty ok.
