VCD stand for Virtual CD (and not VideoCD): When the saturn is plugged with the complete dev kit, you can send data with the VCD port. The saturn can read the data thinking it is a CD, hence "Virtual CD". The other settings are for changing region of the Saturn. Some are marked as "Reserved" and it seems they do nothing.
I only tested my dev stuff quickly so maybe I missed some information about them. Maybe someone else could post some additional information.

I've never owned a Far East Console before despite having a couple of opportunities locally. But the more I see them and the games on this site, the more the thought of it becomes attractive!

Yeah i want an early grey jap saturn i can get one boxed for 100 or so, and unboxed for around 60, but i'll definately probably end up buying the different variations of saturns, whenever i see one i want it, i missed out on a charity shop bargain my mate rang me about, boxed model 1 with games for a tenner! the fool shoulda bought it then given it to me, by the time i got to the shop it had been sold

I didn't buy it... I actually DISCOVERED it! 1. A seemingly bootleg VCD card, which led me to open up my saturn and inside, discover... 2. A fully functioning model 1 modchip. If only yours truly had known sooner! The seller didn't know what the hell he sold me for that $99! I got twice the stuff he listed! The backups boot 3x faster than pressed stuff... OMG.

Yeah, I would like to put them apart, but with an incredibly small house I live in, I can't do much but to stack them like that.

Meh, your lucky to have 3 rooms, we uni students in Japan only get 1 room in most of the case. At least that's how it is for me
