I was pretty big into WC3 back in high school but never bothered to play part 2. I want to try it out but I'm afraid it will be too difficult on a game pad like Starcraft was on the 64. Anyone manage to play through it on the Saturn without much difficulty?

I found it quite difficult a few levels in but I think that's because it's not my kinda game so I wasn't that focused when playing it.

I wonder if it supports the Saturn Mouse.

Loading times are pretty painful on the Saturn version, and there's quite a bit of slowdown later in the game.
Just gave it a blast with the gray Saturn Mouse (HSS-0102) which is the only one I have loose a the moment, it does not work.

Even friggen Planet Joker fully supports the mouse.

Saturn Warcraft II is pretty good, if a little on the slow side.
