Does any body happen to know if emulators for the Saturn, DC, etc will work on those diddy Netbooks?
Looking for a Laptop to run SSF and co, but was wondering if they will run on the Netbooks.
Thanks

SSF - not yet
Dreamcast - almost.
Basically, if I were going to contemplate emulating Saturn on a netbook, I would wait for the dual core models to become more mainstream and get one with an nVidia ION for Dreamcast.
However another thing you could look into is sub-notebooks, there are many 12 inch laptops out there with pretty damn powerful specs ideal for emulating saturn.

We have a media center based on the Dual Core Atom 330 which is appearing in some Netbooks and it does not cope well with SSF at all.

Ah well, I'd imagine a Dual Core atom + ION could handle Dreamcast pretty ok thought? SIngle Core atom and GMA 950 can run DC t about 80% speed ;D Anyway yeah, if you are looking to emulate Dreamcast or Saturn on the go with reasonable performance I would reccoment a good 12-13 inch sub-notebook with Core 2 Duo at least and something better than Intel GFX. Dell have some OK ones although as always with Dell the first thing you do when you get it out of the box is wipe the HDD and do a clean install of your OS of choice then update your BIOS with the latest version

There this one I've seen at ebuyer that seems good www.ebuyer.com/product/169936 The specs sound ok to me, but I'm no computer wizz so please correct me if I'm wrong.

I'd say those are some pretty reasonable specs, My 3 year old LG Laptop can emulate Saturn at about 20-30fps on most games so I'd assume that can go much better
