Its taken me almost 15 years but I finally own a Saturn. I was looking forward to getting one as a kid after owning a Master System and a Megadrive but when my Parents handed me a Playstation I sort of forgot about it.....Until now! Well until a few days from now since i won an auction for one (well 2) on Ebay that has yet to arrive. Im looking forward to some unuiqe titles which ive never had a chance to play, for example Nights, and having an excuse to replay Tomb Raider. Though im unsure of many things, as my first post in the "Hard-Wired" forum will show, Im looking forward to some sweet old-school games and a 2d perspective on some things (how I missed thee). Although sadly a lot of the best games dont seem to have been released in the EU or are stupidly expensive (like Panzer Dragoon Saga) so already im having to look into mod-chips which I dont really want to do. So is there anything a newbie (to the Saturn) like me should know? And what 2 player games would you guys recommend that are cheap and easy to get in the UK? The games that I won with the console in the auction are:
Andretti Racing Manx TT Superbike NBA Live 97 Independance Day International Victory Goal Soccer FIFA 96 Olympic Soccer Shellshock Segaflash Volume 1 (A demo Disk?) Sega Rally Championship Tomb Raider Tunnel B1 Victory Boxing Virtua Fighter Virtua Fighter 2 Worldwide Soccer 97

Hi Pazy You've got some good titles there, immediate cheapish titles to track down would be: Alien Trilogy AMOK Crusader No Remorse Daytona USA Exhumed Gun Griffon Loaded Wipeout

Ill have a look into those games. In fact I already purchased Alien Trilogy though im not overly sure why lol Dayona USA Championship is on my list since it has multiplayer. What else is good for multiplayer? Sadly the current generation of games has forgotten about split-screen/offline multiplayer so I really need this out of my older systems. Apart from Virtua Fighter 1/2 are any of my current games multiplayer?

Welcome. Enjoy your stay.
There are FAR too many great muliti-player games on the Saturn to list. Is there a particular genre of Saturn games you like. e.g Racers, VS Fighter e.t.c?

Im looking for a good brawler style game for co-op and a diffrent versus fighter (neither me or my friend are really into the Virtua Fighter style) probably more in the Marvel vs Capcom kind of flashy arcade fighting. Apart from the sports and racers genre, since I dont like sports and ive enough racers since im not a big fan of the genre, then its pretty much any else really though prefrably co-op.

Good brawler? Good luck! Unfortunately the Saturn SUCKS for that. Mind you, Guardian Heroes more than makes up for the lack of. Three Dirty Dwarves is another you might wanna look into... but I seem to be the only fan of the game here. Whatever you do, don't buy Waku Waku 7. It sucks on the Saturn. But all the other fighters should suit your tastes. The 2D fighters on this system ROCK! And there's PLENTY of flashiness to go around! (But you're gonna have to start importing to enjoy them all!)

Im sure those two will satisify my limited fighting wants for a long while.

Welcome.
I'd seriously advise you to buy Resident Evil (survival horror). Although it's a one player it's extremely fun and you get your moneys worth, also it's fun if friends help you figure out the puzzles and stuff. As far as good brawler type games goes there's only Guardian Heroes really and you'd be lucky to find that under £35.

Resident Evil is a game Ive played and completed many times (last time with the DS version) so although I love it I have no reasl reason to get it. Since the Saturn is lacking brawlers ill have to find a diffrent co-op game to get for it then, any ideas?

I guess there's Fighters Megamix, similar to virtua fighter but with team mode. There's also virtua cop one and two which are both great games. Other than that I don't think the saturn has many co-op games.
