Is Z any good on Saturn with a mouse? i adored that game as a child. I even got a DOS laptop to play it on, but if I could just use my Saturn, that would be sweet...

Just got a Saturn mouse, and have confirmed compatibility with the following games:
Prisoner of Ice Girls in Motion vol.2: Body Special 264 Heir of Zendor
The last one I'm especially happy about. I remember back when I first played HoZ, even though I had no idea such a thing as a Saturn mouse existed I kept thinking, "Man, I wish you could play this with a mouse." Now that I've played a couple battles using the mouse, I can happily attest that it works like a dream. All the controls are wonderfully intuitive and well-implemented; even the way you scroll the battle map by nudging the appropriate edge with the cursor works well.
I only wish I had a Saturn mouse when I first started playing Heir of Zendor. This is THE way to play the game.

No, the Saturn version of 3D lemmings does not work with a mouse. it's a shame too as it's my favourite way of playing the PS1 game.

Would the Saturn Mouse support all versions of the game? I have both NTSC-U copies of Doom and Myst and there is no mention of mouse support in the manual. However, my NTSC-J copy of Myst does mention mouse support in the manual. No, the Saturn version of 3D lemmings does not work with a mouse. it's a shame too as it's my favourite way of playing the PS1 game. That's weird, the instruction manual of my Japanese copy of 3D Lemmings says it does support mouse control (It has a diagram of the mouse in the manual). Are you playing the PAL version? Maybe the PAL version doesn't support mouse control, yet the Japanese version does.

JP version does. I've played it with the white mouse (came with Sakura Taisen LE)

I've tried over & over again but all I get is a message telling me "No Controller Detected". Hey superdeadite, when you get a chance boot up the Jap game, go to the options menu & tell us what the version number is. Then we will know if they added mouse support for the Jap version or removed it for the PAL version. The PAL options say "Version - V3.08"

Then we will know if they added mouse support for the JP version or removed it for the PAL version. The PAL options say "Version - V3.08" Just checked my copy and it said "Version - V3.11". So it seems like the Japanese one came out after the PAL version. This really isn't on topic, but something I was always curious about with 3D Lemmings is if they kept all the Jelly Belly references in the PAL version. Because all the Jelly Belly billboards are removed or replaced with Perfect Entertainment billboards in the JP version, and many of the candy levels were renamed from their original names in the PSX version. The back of the PAL box also seems to have a screen capture in game of the Jelly Belly level screen too.
