Is it an official thing or a standard CD-R disc like you had on the Dreamcast? It's an official disc sent out to developers. Nice Mick the layout is really nice on the cover im looking forward to see the disc I didn't make this, it's an official disc.

Well, as this is turning into a show & tell, here's a picture of my collection of Saturn boot discs; Sorry for the crap quality of the picture (yeah I know, I really should upgrade my phone - Soon!!). In answer to your question mancity, they were official products manufactured for licensed developers and not intended for distribution . Generally, Black disc's were given out to 3rd party developers to test their code. The Red disc's are for booting up 1st party code. Most disc's have their own unique code written on them, but some seem to be generic like the #1, #2 etc. These are normal Cd's NOT CD-R's. The code that runs on them matches the security code on the disc's outer ring so that they cannot be copied (the code only works with the original disc).

I had no idea mick!! I hope it found a good home at the very least. oh well, I'm sure you'll get your hands on another one at some point. It's pretty typical though, you can guarantee that the second I get rid of something I discover I actually needed it. I find life's like that.

Well, I can certainly see where you're coming from Mick. I hunted these disc's down with the sole intention of writing my own stuff for my favorite little black box. There's a large selection of development tools and literature on the web, but so far I've been having a bit of a headache putting all of the pieces of the puzzle together. The most complicated stuff I've written in the past was for the ZX81 and the Spectrum in SINCLAIR Basic (and the odd thing in STOS for my Atari ST) lol. I've written a shedful of other stuff over the years, mostly in Eiffel or for SQL databases (god I loathe that crap!!), but NO games. I'm ashamed to say that I actually got a 2.1 (BSc HNRS) at Uni for systems analysis and object oriented software construction - (I was predicted a 1st, but all of that hit the fan when my ex-wife left me and I had a bit of a breakdown - I'm finally OVER it now lol!!). Fortunately, I don't have to rely on the luxury of a development system as computers are now powerful enough to do all the work for me. The point is, I think I'm either going to have to spend a lot more time pouring over it, or find someone to hold my hand through the basics!! So I can definitely see where you're coming from.

I have this on Saturn, and ive noticed some issues playing it. Firstly itll lock up sometimes when the levels finish, meaning it needs a reset and it does not save the levels completed at all.
Secondly, there is massive slowdown in 2 player mode, the Playstation version is slow all the time, but stays more consistant.
Thanks all, would love to play this one start to finish 2 player doing every map. We did that here on the Playstation version, and will be doing it on the 3DO version including Maps 'O Death.
