I can only get Scud Race to hit about 6fps in SuperModel, and the (current) lack of a frameskip option makes it worse - I've taken 20 minutes in real time to get round some courses as a result! Hopefully this will be one of the first new features to be added in the next updated build, plus the various graphical fixes needed before VF3 looks comparable...
By the way, does anyone know how to get Scud Race Plus working in SuperModel? I've combined the ROMs as described in the Read Me file, but neither combination seems to work for me. I'd love to get this working, if only for the bonus Super Beginner track and hidden comedy vehicles.

I got a solid 60fps on my rig, but could not figure how to get it into full screen mode, perhaps this is not emulated yet.

This is excellent news!!! Been waiting for a model 3 emulator for quite awhile now. I mean, wan't anybody really pissed that the Dreamcast didn't get Daytona 2? That game was soo good, and I can't believe it managed surpass the first one too! I know when a bar right next to a place I lived at got one, i always went in and paid like at least $40. Basically went in, got a bottle of beer, played non-stop till I at least blew $40... well, i had to stop and get at least one more bottle of beer of course. And Scud Race, I never played that game but the fact that is was supposed to be somewhat of a sequal to Daytona made me very interested in it and always wanted to play it since. Now's my chance. Finally. Course i never played VF3 either and a couple other Model 3 games, so yeah, got lots of classic Sega goodness to catch up up... Oh yeah, I never played Sega Rally 2 Either!!!

Looks like you need to compile the latest source to get the version with sound, I do have Visual Studio installed but don't have time at the moment to figure it out. I expect a binary will be released soon though.

I realise this isn't entirely linked to Supermodel, but it is very much a question related with emulating SCUD Race - if too many people think it's in the wrong place, I'll quite happily allow it to be moved or start a separate thread. Anyway...
Can someone please recommend digital speed, autocentre speed and sensitivity figures for this game in MAME that makes it handle better? The default settings are terrible, though to be fair the frame rate on my dual core laptop probably doesn't help, either! Still, any help would definitely be appreciated until a GUI for the latest version of Supermodel arrives (I'm not the most technically minded person when it comes to this kind of thing, you see).

Forget Mame, open the Supermodel.ini file and stick these in the global settings, simple as pie.
InputJoyXMinVal = -50000 InputJoyXOffVal = 0 InputJoyXMaxVal = +50000 InputJoyXSaturation = 173
Play around with InputJoyXSaturation particularly to get the right feel, increase the value (I think 255 is the max) to decrease sensitivity.

Now that various interfaces for the latest version of Supermodel have been released, I'm finally able to enjoy this brilliant update. However, the graphical problems in Virtua Fighter 3 and Sega Rally 2 (the latter to a lesser extent) are disappointing, though I've been reading about a possible further revision of the emulator due very soon that may fix such issues.
Also, because of a very helpful part in the read me file, I can at last enjoy SCUD Race Plus - and it was definitely worth the wait! I realise we can already race on the courses from the original in OutRun 2, but when is Sega going to bring the full package home, preferably including bonus content? My guess is that licensing must surely be to blame for its absence...
