Have a look at this video and see if it yours is built the same. This is the one I looked at when I did my switch less mod. Really easy to follow... Thanks for the link, I've been thinking about trying the switch less mod out but I don't have the a way to program the chip. Maybe if I ever figure this out ill try it next. Here is a pic of the underside of the switch board. My soldering to me although isn't the prettiest looks good enough to get the job done. 2011-06-10_11-47-06_821 by J3pac307, on Flickr

This is a US Saturn so there were only links on jp7 and jp10 if I remember correctly and those were both removed. As for any other cut I haven't made any. Yeah, I understand that it's a US saturn (so was mine when I modded it), but that's irrelevant. Irrespective of what region model of saturn you have, you MUST cut/remove a total of three traces/links. There's no if's, and's or but's on this. If you've only removed/cut two traces, you need to do this to one more (that is for you, JP13). This is because a total of three sets of jumper positions are being switched around in the mod when you're switching from uk, us & jp (jp6/7, 10/11, and 12/13). When looking at the gamesx link below, your motherboard looks like the 3rd one down from the last pic (the last one just before the hisaturn navi motherboards) -- in this motherboard, it looks like there are resistors on jp6 and jp11, but there's trace on jp13. Hence you needed to remove two resitors, but also CUT that last trace on jp13. www.gamesx.com/wiki/doku.php?id=imports:sega_saturnThough I must say, it a bit strange though -- if you havne't done anything to jp12/13, I'm not sure how it's switching between jp to uk, because those two regions are just total flips of each other on jp6/7, 10/11, and 12/13 -- that is, 12/13 is somehow being switched between +5v and GND (This is zyrob's point), even though you haven't cut the trace on jp13. Look, but bottom line is this -- in any scenario, if you haven't cut that trace on JP13, do it. It's something you had to have done if you want this mod working correctly. Yes, maybe your board also may be bit screwy, but even it it's perfect, it will not work perfectly if you haven't done anything to jp12/13 set. By cutting the trace on jp13, you're ruling that out as a one less possible source of mistake. Anyone who says you only need to remove/cut a total two resistors/links doesn't really understand how this mod works.

I think he already cut that trace at JP13, otherwise the console couldn't switch to JPN mode.

Besides, since his is a US saturn, and because US and Japanese saturns are both set to JP13 (GND) on the JP12/13 set, altering JP13 isn't required make his sytem switch to Japanese setting.

Right, I confused the jumpers. Regardless, I don't think it's a problem in the motherboard, since he can switch between JPN and EU modes fine - so all 3 jumpers work in both 5v and gnd. If JP13 is still on GND, he couldn't switch to UK mode.
