I really want to try Super Tempo. It really shows what the Saturn can do with 2D graphics! Soundtrack is awesome too! I can't find it anywhere, though. Tryrush Deppy looks pretty cool, too. My Saturn collection is a bit lacking as far as platformers go, which is a shame as it's my favorite genre. I'm sure I'll find some though.
Ninpen Manmaru is in stock again on Play-Asia. It doesn't say how many are in stock, but I'm presuming it's a decent amount, since it doesn't have a warning saying that stock is low. Will probably pick it up soon =)

^ Before you pick up Ninpen Manmaru be aware the controls are really awkward which can make the game more difficult and frustrating than it has to be. I can't beat what I think must be the last level or one of the last few. If your a die hard platformer fan I would say give it a go.
Tryrush Deppy is a lot of fun, but it's pretty short so I wouldn't pay more than $50 for it. I think its a lot better than Keio Flying Squadron 2. I see Super Tempo pop up on ebay quite a bit(2 for sale 1 auction atm) but it's always really expensive. Some day I'll get it, but I'd probably much rather have liquid kids if I am spending that kind of money.
I recently found Ninja jaja marukun at gameofjapan.com for something like $16 + shipping, which I instantly snapped up. pretty cheap considering how uncommon it is.

Just looked it up. Looks okay, but there are a few things I'm iffy about. The main thing is jumping between plains. I don't see how you're supposed to see if there's a platform you can jump onto in front of you, and I can imagine that could get frustrating quickly. According to Satakore, it's pretty cheap.

I've recently decided to spruce up my Saturn collection with a few more platformers. So my last slew of purchases have also included such delights as Super Tempo, Wonder 3 (which includes the excellent Roosters action platformer) and Sega Ages : I Love Mickey Mouse / I Love Donald (which only arrived yesterday and I've played Mickey Mouse and the Castle of Illusion to death already!!). Anyway here are some other platformers available on import that you don't have on your list above pinksheets: Capcom Generations 2 (Ghosts 'n Goblins, Ghouls 'n Ghosts & Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts) Elevator Action Returns (also includes the original game) Hissatsu I Love Mickey Mouse - Fushigi no Oshiro Daibouken / I Love Donald Duck - Georgia Ou no Hihou Wonder 3 (3-in-1 game featuring Roosters) Metal Slug There's also the odd platformer featured on compilation discs such as Sega Ages Vol 1 : Memorial colection (Flicky) and the Konami Antiques MSX Collection (A great, if somewhat dated compilation anyway). No doubt there are more out there. *Anyway, It's nice to see people enjoying Ninpen Manmaru, although personally I'd recommend Ninja Jajamaru Kun - even though it to seems sell for silly money these days. I've previously recommended it in 'The best JP exclusive Saturn games under £15' thread too, as I picked it up so cheaply - Doh!!

I agree with pocketim - Doraemon always looked a bit suspect to me too. However, I must admit that I've only ever seen videos of the actual game (which usually give you a good idea of the game, but can sometimes be misleading). Still, I'll probably pick it up at some point in the future as all of the copies I've seen so far have been very cheap.

Super Tempo is very expensive, where can I find it, seems rarer than Taromaro, at least I can find copies of that game easily on eBay.

couldn't see it on that list but; Shinrei Jusatsushi Taromaru
stupidly expensive too I bought this years ago on the ebay I was debating whether to get the japanese phat DS or this game and I chose this.
It's an ok game. not fantastic but certainly it's playable with tight controls. I sold it because it was one of those games that I was afraid to take out and play for fear of damaging the disc/manual and that was driving me nuts so I resold it on ebay and got more than what I paid for it originally..
also Lupin Sage no pyramid your mileage of how much you might enjoy this game more than me well... I'll just say you should be able to get it cheap. Good music tho, a poor man's version of tomb raider with lupin characters.

Hah, not too bad. That's the thing about those expensive retro games; besides costing you a bundle from the start, they can kinda weigh you down.

Really debating on Ninpen Manmaru now.. anyone else ever give it a go? I actually just got it recently and after playing it I can say it is a really solid game. The controls take a bit of getting used to but if you enjoy Croc you'll probably have no trouble getting the controls down in this game. The graphics are also really nice and cheery and I would say it is one of the best pure 3D platformers on the Saturn. (there isn't much competition though).
