Techno Motor Music Maker

Has anybody else played around with this title? For anyone who has never heard of it Techno Motor is a fully featured music generator & Midi synthesizer for the Sega Saturn. Not really a game, but a piece of software intended for the creation of mainly club style music such as Techno, Dance, House & Drum 'n bass. It's easy to understand despite being a Japan only release & it's cheap to import.

Also it works great on SSF if anyone would like to give it a go.


I recreated the Cave Story theme on it to show what can be accomplished with some time & effort.

i didnt even know it existed but i use ableton to make tunes on but am gonna have to grab a copy of this to have a tinker

It's no where near as capable as modern PC software such as Ableton, so manage your expectations accordingly

Check this guy out, he recreated the Elecman Stage music from Megaman!

its cool man im gonna have to give it ago as love making tunage on any thing i remember as a kid playing stuff like ejay and music so this will be a laugh as well do you know how japanese intensive this is at all or whether the menus are in english.

It's almost all in english. The only all japanese part is when you try to overwrite an existing save file, but it's easy to figure out.

Wow, this looks like a lot of fun! I'm definently going to get this soon. I love techno music and would always like to try making some of my own tunes. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. ;D

Didn't know there were any music makers on the Saturn. Will have to get this now!
