Is Linkle Liver Story and Shining Force III Scerarios 2 & 3 fully playable without knowing Japanese? If so how? English dialogue?

Linkle Liver Story is a very linear top down action game with some RPG elements. (Imagine Zelda without all the free exploring) The first half of the game is awesome, but after that it feels very rushed. It coulda been a really good game. But it's playable because of how straight forward it is. I beat the game without a guide and I think I only got lost once.

I do that when I play shmups.
As far as I'm aware, DoDonPachi is about a guy trying to deliver a pizza to Italians.

Just ordering Linkle Liver Story now Apart from Thor, are there any other Action-RPG's on the Saturn? What about Magic Knight Rayearth?

Magic Knight Rayearth is available in English.
If you like cheesy badly dubbed animes about girls who chase after guys, then yea, you might like it. It's not 'bad'.

Nothing wrong with collecting JP games but I would recommend getting both versions. Play the US one first then the JP version. Unless it is JP exclusive, of course.

Yea that's what I usually like to do.
I'm a JP only guy too, but if the game is also available in English, I'll find a way to play it in English instead for at least the first playthrough.
Though Magic Knight Rayearth in English is pretty expensive...
