I've been having the same problem however, when I open SSF it opens already minimized. So when I click it on the windows bar the message comes up and I cannot play. I can hear the emulator sounds working perfectly though. Any ideas? I run into this problem a lot but figured out how to fix it. Happens when I Alt+Ent out of fullscreen mode while running OBS or FRAPS. Delete your SSF.ini file. A new one will be generated when you run SSF.exe and the window will display properly.

Right click on the SSF process of the taskbar (on Win7, hold Shift while right clicking), select "Move", then press the cursor keys on the keyboard to move the window around. After clicking one cursor key, the window will also be affixed to the mouse cursor, so you can just use that to drag the window back to the screen.

Sweet!! I have been having problems with getting controllers recognized - xbox pad or saturn usb. Deleting the config files seems to have fixed it for me. Now running in full compatibility mode and playing RS, Batsugun, Garegga, MvSF perfectly (well, looks it I need to side by side it to hardware yet).
Thanks Ayden, been bugging me that.
Swarm - are you sure it's minimized? Its a QT App and takes a few seconds on my PC to start up, during which time it looks minimized and then the UI appears. If its still causing hassle I'd say delete the folder and start again, and never minimize it!

Hello.
I keep getting a problem when I'm trying to use the video and record feature on SSF 0.12 Beta R3.
It lets me start the recording just fine but when I finish it, the program stops working and the resulting video is all scrambled. The weird thing is I've managed to record a few things before and I had never come across this problem until recently. Any ideas what might be causing it?

SSF uses its own codec to record video. Apparently you need a program called AviUtil, for which there is a codec bundled in SSF, to transcode your stuff.

I can encode the movie file without a problem. The issue is when I finish recording it on the emulator. Something causes an error and shuts down the emulator which results in a faulty movie file (I assume this is because it hasn't properly coded all data). When I open it up in AviUtil, it's all screwed up.

I have tried again to run this emulator and again the same problems occur.
As you know you need Daemon Tools Lite to mount the iso's to play the games. Yet every time i install this software it infects my computer with spyware and makes my computer unusable.
Is this just a dodgy piece of software or am i just being unlucky and downloading it from the wrong websites all the time?

Yeah my AVG tries to remove some of the install files from Daemon Tools Lite.
I let it install though after a little research.
I use SSF V.10 Beta and think that works pretty damn well.

Even if you do a custom install and carefully read EVERYTHING to make sure you're not adding anything unwanted, Daemon Tools still has some sort of adware built into the program itself. It's not considered malicious, but it is there. Any virtual drive can work with SSF. I think CloneDrive is free. May want to give that a shot. Alternatively, you could try burning your ISOs to discs.

You can mount images with WinISO by the way if you prefer.

Thanks, yeah i had to format my computer recently as Daemon Tools Lite had so much spyware. I might try use CloneDrive or even winISO as mancity suggested. Are those virtual drives just as bad when it comes to spyware?
