Recently I became aware that my model 1 V-Saturn has a "Master Reset" switch next to the battery holder. According to the system's manual, this switch will restore the SRAM in case it ever (god forbid!) starts corrupting save files. I have no other Saturns with me to compare it too right now. Do all Saturns have this feature? Has anyone ever had to actually use it? Any information out there what so ever? Here's a crappy pic I took. The blue colored blob is the Master Reset switch:

My PAL MkI has one, the two Jap machines I have (mkII's) don't.

UK Mk1 has one, UK Mk2 does not.

So it sounds like only the MK1's have these buttons. I wonder why they were removed from the MK2? Maybe Sega changed the SRAM between revisions so they were no longer needed? Or maybe they got too many calls from people hitting the button and erasing all their saves? ;D
