Ive got a copy of panzer dragoon zwei that wont load, it really bugs me as ive never played it before
i got it off ebay over a year ago , it loads up but crashes when you try and start a game
there are no major deep scratches
What methods do you guys suggest for cleaning saturn discs? Ive cleaned it already with the usual liquid and cloth stuff, it dident make a difference.

I take my games into my local games store who put it inside a special machine and charge me 2 quid for the privilege, however the CDs will almost always come out looking brand new and play perfectly.

hehe, near enough. I think it polishes small layers off the plastic eliminating any scratches or imperfections.

I bought a CD Doctor kit from my local pound shop. I swear by it.
You get a bottle of cleaner, a cloth and a strange spinning cd case that revolves the opposite direction to the cd and cleans it up nicely.
Admittedly, it won't remove scratches, but all but one of my Saturn demo cds play now after seing the 'doctor'..

My local games shop has something like that too. I looks a bit like a PC case. I asked them how much it cost them to buy & the guy told me they forked out three grand for it!!

asda sell one for £20
you put in this stuff that looks like toothpaste, sit the disk in what looks like a plastic cd holder. Then you turn the little handle on the side for about 2 minutes............ The paste fills all the scratches and it polishes the disc as it turns...............
Probable just a cheapo version of the 3 grand effort (although not as cheap as Rossi's one)
Pretty decent., i've fixed many jumping game discs and dvd's!

Since youre in the UK, Gamestation provide the service. These home devices such as skip doctors do indeed work, although you often have to give a disc several "passes" with them to get them into a working condition On another note, it could be the Data layer thats humped - hold the disc up to a light and look for any major damage, small pin pricks are common on older discs, however larger holes or scratches may really damage the data.

I used to use alcohol and conton to clean my CD's. But somehow, for some reason, after a few cleanings the CD would stop working. Notice the Irony of course...
