As the title says, what are the games you would have loved to have seen on the saturn but never got released? Give your reasons and post us some links or screenshots if you can

Well, there are whole bunch unreleased JP releases I would've loved to see as an English release - latter chapters of Shining Force III, Phantasy Star Collection, etc.
But as far as what never made it, without a doubt Shenmue.

Yes I too would love to see Shenmue actually running on a commercial Saturn. The demo vid was amazing!
Strikers 1945 Plus. I loved this game in the arcade, but sadly other then the NeoGeo consoles, no real ports exist. It would have made a better addition to the Saturn library then say Strikers 1945 P1 and P2 in my opinion.

Virtua Fighter 3.
SEGA had a basic version of it running on the Saturn according to SSM which would have been good to see.
Does anyone know if footage exists?

I dunno if any clips of a SS VF3 exists, but I noticed this this on the other thread (the one about SS gun). ruliweb.empas.com/ruliboard/read.htm?main=ac&table=ma_saturn&page=1&num=292&find=&ftext=&left=z&time=Scroll down to #24 (Virtua Stick Pro), and check out the move sheet. According to the article, the latter models of the joystick had different colored buttons and a move sheet insert for VF3. I guess this is one of the things that really gave hope to players looking forward to VF3 on the Saturn. BTW, that stick looks like a seriously quality unit. It looks exactly like the ones they have at the Japanese arcades!

well most of the japanese Saturn RPGs I wished they got a western release... SF parts II & III. Grandia, Lunar SSSC and Lunar Eternal Blue.. Black Matrix, Waku Waku Dungeon, Soul Hackers Devil Summoner, Princess Crown, Tengai Makkyou IV etc..
But they shoulda made a 32-bit version of Streets of Rage etc and a proper Golden Axe game!!!!

Streets of Rage and Golden Axe would have been awesome, perhaps using similar gameplay to Fighting Force on the PSX? There's a seriousl lack of those types of beat-em-up on the Saturn

Fighting Force was in develpment for the Saturn, but got canned in the end.
It looked ok, the sequel was released on the Dreamcast so I recall.

It seemed like the whole beat-em-up genre sorta took a nosedive during that era in console gaming. Capcom brought out some of their CPS1 beat-em-ups (D&D, Warriors of Fate), but it never made it to the western market as well,
There's Guardian Heroes and Die Hard Arcade, I can't think of many more that were released outside of Japan.

The only PS only game I was remotely jealous of was Gran Tourismo, allot of popular PlayStation games were conversions of much better PC games anyway, Colin McRae Rally 1&2 on the PlayStation are good examples, some of the poorest PC to console conversions I have ever played, the shoddy corner cutting graphics conversion can just about be excused, but how the hell they managed to mess up the handling and physics so badly for the PlayStation version is beyond me!

I think I can remember Tomb Raider came out on Saturn before PlayStation, I started to get a little suspicious when Tomb Raider II wasn't announced for Saturn, by the time Resident Evil 2 came out as an excluive for PlayStation I think I'd had enough of Saturn, the games that came out in 1998 for PlayStation were enough to win me around, I think the original PlayStation had the bes exclusives of any PS console so far...
