Oh, I know about Sega Saturn News hosting that, but I don't like touching things on that site since it looks so ... I dunno, just looks like the sort of site where I shoulding touch anything that removes my browser from their front page.

Well I just dl/ed and burned Return Fire. I've seen better looking Megadrive games tbh. On my Bravia, it looked like a Far-Eastern Desert Strike Plug 'n' Play TV console game.

When I finally downloaded Return Fire, it came up as an Adobe file, and wouldn't translate into anything else, so I couldn't put it on disc.
Any suggestions ?

Eh, are you sure you hit the game download and not the one for the manual?

Any suggestions ? ave you tried to force it open with something else? Or mount it with daemon tools - even if it's not recognised in the 'images' section of DT?

I always wished a football manager sim would have been released on the Saturn.

I'd loved to have seen a few proper driving games like V-Rally, Colin Macrae and F1.

I always wished a football manager sim would have been released on the Saturn. There's always Soccer RPG, which came from the developers behind Worldwide Soccer. Actually, it uses the same engine as later titles in that series, but since it was only released in Japan you might want to check out if there is any major language barrier first... unless someone with more hands-on experience says otherwise or provides an Englsh language hack!

F1 and Ninja. I actually bought a PS1 just to play Ninja and it was shoite. I was gutted when F1 97 got canned. LOL i remember seeing screens of Ninja and really wanting it, when it was scrapped i was so pissed off, then i finally got it on PSX years later and was sorely disapointed! it is indeed shite!

I have to be honest, I think Sonic R and Panzer Dragoon Saga were the best graphical examples of what the Saturn was capable of. And I have more respect for Travellerss Tales and Team Andromeda than I do for any of the AM groups or Sonic Team when it came to getting great graphics out of the system. I love NiGHTS and Fighters Megamix, but the roughness of the 3D Nights world [apart from the Claris' legs which were quite smooth ^_^] really left me feeling Sonic Team weren't comfortable coding good graphics on the Saturn....and Sega Rally always looked like it had rough edges whenever I saw screenshots of it. But Sonic R...my good...how smooth? How solid? How well lit? Brilliant graphics. And then Panzer Dragoon Saga just gets more and more impressive as you progress from one disc to the next.....some great varieties of water effects! Lovely smooth opening and closing lifts, etc. Just very nice overall, and at the time, I was well impressed with some of the towns, feeling it was more detailed than Mario 64...
But I just cringe a little when people mention Burning Rangers as an example of good graphics on Saturn. It was still rough at the edges, and with some clipping. Nice lighting, yes, but, in my opinion, it doesn't touch Sonic R and Panzer Dragoon Saga for graphical showcasing. My graphical judgements of Burning Rangers are based on the Rolling Demo on the Sega Flash Discs. I've yet to track down the full game. Nonetheless, I feel Travellers Tales and Team Andromeda, showed up the AM departments and Sonic Team, with superior Saturn graphics.
Games I'd like to have seen released? VF3, just to see if AM2 really could pull off something as impressive as TT and TA. A full translated version of Grandia. I am *still* waiting for a sequel to Steep Slope Sliders...that was awesome! Er...not sure what else to say..! There are still so many games that *were* released that I'm still looking forwards to tracking down and playing....the Saturn already seems to offer so much.
I remember the rumours of a Racers Megamix to follow on from Fighters Megamix...lol. ^_^ Hopeful fan rumours methinks. Christmas NiGHTS was amazing. I would have only played NiGHTS for a month, but Christmas NiGHTS kept me going for years. Would have been nice for it to have been more widely released.

Shining Force 3: Scenario 3 is far and away more complex than Saga could ever hope to be. in my opinion. It even wowed my Crysis playing PC monkey of a friend.
But yeah, Burning Rangers was rough as a bear's arse, but the enormity of everything and the great design is what made it special.
I still think Zwei was prettier than Saga, come to think of it ...

I say Harvest Moon Back to the Nature would be a pretty nice game for a Saturn. At least I had an opportunity to play the best one in the series, PS2 has only Save the Homeland (fun but short and shallow), A Wonderful Life (crappy GC port) and Innocent Life (good but I prefer "standard", non-futuristic HMs).
