Glad you found the Shuttle Mouse worth the purchase too! I recently also ordered House of the Dead online to use with mine. Welp, Sega Retro duped me again, House of the Dead doesn't appear to be compatible with the mouse. I'm playing the NTSC-J version which is the one that's specifically listed as compatible on the site, and Satakore lists it as compatible as well. I feel like I must be missing something but it doesn't seem to recognize the mouse at all. Good news is that it IS at least compatible with the 3D control pad which offers a bit more precision, but the mouse would definitely be preferable. For House of the Dead use a turbo pad. That's what I use and it's brilliant. I doubt the shuttle mouse would have been as effective with House of the Dead as it was for VC2. Have just re-played Enemy Zero and completed it once again and once again the experience was superb. Also playing Dark Savior parallel 2 for the first time. Paralell 2 is so much better than parallel 1. Stuck on the mime train atm.

Back on the Saturn first time after X-Mas. I've opened up my Winter Heat campaign and will be posting some shots of my latest results very soon. Slightly rusty, so I'm re-learning most of the events. Meanwhile more Dark Savior action. Parallel 1 and 2 have been completed so I'm now on parallel 3 and it hasn't dissapointed so far.

My pre Xmas gaming included mostly any game that I could remember that had Christmas themed levels. Sonic 3D Blast, Xmas Nights etc.
Currently playing through CROC. Game I wanted back in 1997, but had my parents get it for me last Christmas lol (and my mom somehow found a sealed copy on ebay so it felt like 1997 when I opened it).
Anyway Im loving this game. Its light and fun like you would expect from most 3D platformers of the late 90's. Sadly this is really the only one we got on the Saturn but the programmers did a great job making it bright colorful and play very well on the Saturns hardware. Croc controls great with the 3D pad as well using the analog stick. Didn't end up beating it last year so determined to do so this week. About half way through the game now. Some awkward platforming early on but once you learn the tricks of the control layout its cake after that.
In between that Im playing STEEP SLOPE SLIDERS a lot as its a perfect winter game (along with Winter Heat) Last year we had some fun doing score attack so I might have to bump that thread again. But SSS for those that havent picked it up is a great snowboarding game. I explained it more last year but it has a depth to the controls that makes it hard to pick up the first time but once you master them it feels very "simulation" like. Also love the soundtrack and earth toned colors.

Now completed Dark Savior parallel 1,2 3 and 4. Only parallel 5 to go but Ive moved on to Gungriffon and Ghen War for now. I'm on the final mission for both games so hopefully I'll get one of them completed this weekend.

I want all A run on Nights, so I am crushing Nights:) Did that last year, it was super fun chasing down the A scores. It was never frustrating either. You simply find yourself in a groove or in the zone after a while flying through the levels racking up huge point totals. You really see how deep and brilliant NiGHTS is when you play it over and over like that. The music will change as you may interact with the AI more. The whole background AI engine/system was so well done.

I heard about it all the time, how good and iconic it is, but you can see that from screenshots and videos. I like games, which (are and) looks different. I have to admit, I didn't like first time. But I gave it second chance, I took time for more exploring and I love it! It is true gem.

Yes that is the key with Saturn... different and original.
Sadly weird and different games don't sell well enough. Its the safe games that make a system and company money. The games that appeal to the masses. The sports games, the platformers, the Marios, Sonics, the FPSs. These games are all great but Sega was always awesome at trying weird stuff or experimental stuff. NiGHTS is an example of something totally unique but still with mass appeal. They had so many great minds at Sega during the Genesis/Dreamcast/Saturn days. And its not like all of these games stayed in Japan. We got a ton of obscure stuff from Sega and other companies here in US and Europe.

It's great getting back into Quake and seeing the familiar surroundings. I can't believe how crafty the third stage is. That said, it's still one of the more memorable stages in the game.
The game as is is great but I can't help but wonder how much Lobotomy might have been able to fine tune it if they hadn't had to rush it for a Christmas release. The same goes for Duke, which is another awesome Saturn port.

Had a very lazy sunday at home today. Was going nuts on ThemePark... just always loved that game since my younger days. Maybe im getting old but damn, i could only get past the first level in selling my park and even that took me four goes. Still had fun though.

Has anyone else encounter a bug in Quake level 4 when the game won't allow the player to sink below the water?
I had to trek back to the beginning and come down the ramp for it to work.

I´ve been playing Sonic Jam Time Trials all weekend. My fingers feel like they are bleeding as I played the same Act over and over just to try and lose 0.2 of a second. Fun!
