Sych Im still trying to figure out how to get those Congo Action Replay codes to work that I messaged you about. Still no idea Wow, that was awhile back. I remember looking at it and trying to figure out all different possibilities to why it wasn't working but I exhausted all my suggestions. I think it just comes down to it being a bad code and probably never worked in the first place. I had that problem with Amok and Alien Trilogy. I think some action replay codes are just are bogus. It could also be down to the Action Replay version. i.e 2/0 or 2.1 or 2.2 e.t.c I hear the Panzer Dragoon Saga boot code only works with certain versions as well

Yeah - just check it out on gamefaqs. There are a few of other features available that accessible in a similar way - a super easy and super hard mode + extra credits. Is there possibly a hidden save score feature in there? That would be something Not as far as I know - such a shame it doesn't support that. Just a bit lazy by Taito/Acclaim.

I've been Scorcher obsessed this week. Played it over and over and have finally mastered 5 courses. The 6th Stage is far too hard for me though but I'll crack it eventually. Such a great game. I also did a bit of Tryrush Deppy, this time focusing on all the Drama Episodes and catching all the Star Rooms. It's alot harder than it sounds, especially as I have to keep one eye on my fuel levels.
Other than that more Mass Destruction, Iron Storm and some serious Winning Post time. Since I changed my Saturn battery recently I'm more focused the the bigger game save files.
I also managed to get the video CD card working in my Saturn for the first time ever. There was never a problem with it, it just wasn't correctly slotted in. So spent time plaing some VCD'S in the Saturn and the quality is pretty cool I have to say. Started with the Six Million Dollar Man.
Interesting thing I found with Mass Destruction is when the Internal Battery is low, the game won't function properly.

playing some Shining Force III Scn2, so far Im playing it with the original Japanese version and a script.
While I do have the Pseudo Saturn cart , I dont want to use it often due to the Saturn's cartridge port being made of string and paper (the other problem of course is that the game save takes up more than half of the Saturn's internal backup space, so its a bit impractical not to use the backup cartridge).

Completely agree with you on that. I completed Grandia, Princess Crown, Wachenroder and Black Matrix using the sane method and it was all a great experience. Grandia did try my patience a little only due to the size of it but was glad to have experienced the Saturn version. What's Shining Force 3 Scenario 2 like, is it better than scenario 1? So far I've been heavy on Winning Post, another game that demands almost 500 blocks of memory but we'll worth it. I've just won my first race with my horse Star Disco and I'm estatic. Also won a few bets on races so I've become very rich. Theres just so much attention to detail with this games its ridiculous. I just hope I don't end up becoming a real life gambler, it's that addictive.

It helps when it comes to playing the later scenarios

More progress on Winning Post. I participated in my first auction for a horse I've been watching for a while and man was it expensive, there was this one owner that just wouldn't give up but I got him in the end. So much attention to details has gone into this game. Learning about Sire's and Dams and which Foals (Horses) come from a good pedigree is fascinating and eye opening.

Darius Gaiden. For some reason I'd not spent any time with this one before, but I have over the weekend and I really like it. Difficulty is set so a casual shmupper like me can make progress and have fun without getting my a**e handed to me all the time. Soundtrack is.. interesting, graphically it's all right too, well worth a play.

I have completed it on a few occasions, but using a credit from player two, after getting to the last stage with a credit to spare and then falling to pieces. I always come back for more. reckon I'll do it on 3 credits one day.

Yep. Auto fire recommended. Saves your controller, your hands and your sanity with this one!
Check out gamefaqs for Darius Gaiden's hidden features which really should have been available in the options.

I also use the auto fire for Darius Gaiden but I do it manually on my auto fire pad as its alot quicker than the games auto fire option. Still can't complete though.

yeah I have an auto-fire pad, don't want to get RSI I doubt I could complete it but each go I was getting better and a little further, learning and practising the bosses is essential of course.
