Have started playing Virtua Fighter 2 as part of this month's community playthrough. I'm a real noob at this so still trying to get a feel for the controls. The weird jumping physics take some getting used to. Play the PAL version on 60hz and you'll enjoy the game alot more that way and the jumping physics won't feel as floaty.

I launched a fast game of Magical Drop III today. Fast is the real word to describe this game, crazy gameplay.

I launched another game today, and it seems I hit my maximum potential very soon. At regular difficulty, I can last for very long. But if I increase the difficulty by one step, I get totally crushed in a matter of seconds ! Guess I'll have to work on my chaining skill, and speed, a bit more.

Excess Saturn playing over the Christmas period.
Started with some classic Saturn Bomberman, Die Hard Arcade, X-Men vs Streetfighter, Pocket Fighter, Soukygurentai, All Japan Pro Wrestling feat. Virtua, Wing Arms and the wonderful Kingdom Grandprix. Since removing the ridiculous racing element and playing it as a classic shump I can't get enough of that game.
I then revisited all my recently purchased JPN Saturn games that I used to own PAL copies of and smiled with gleeful approval at the significantly pleasing performance upgrades of each game. This included: F1 Live Information, Street Racer Ex, Virtual On, Sega Rally Plus, Golden Axe: The Duel and an NTSC-US version of Legend of Oasis.
Interestly my brother and I spent the most time on Legend of Oasis/Story of Thor 2 as I had completely forgotten about the 2 player option. So he helped me out on my save file and we did simultaneous play on Legend of Oasis. So handy two have a second player on hand especially when you're trying to work out how door switches work.

Last week before back at work and I managed to squeeze in some more Saturn playing. Started off with more progress on Legend of Oasis and then had a pretty good stab at Cyberbots and Pocket Fighters. These two awesome Capcom fighters I had been neglecting for sometime so I've been giving them some attention recently. My aim was to unlock all the hidden fighters on both Capcom games. In Cyberbots I managed to unlock Gaits, Super-8, Helion, Warlock and finally after many attempts Cyber Gouki as well. Cyber Gouki is just incredible. My smile quickly turned to a frown when I found out Pocket Fighter has ZERO hidden characters or additional incentive rewards for the Arcade or Free run mode. WTF! Really? After completing the game with all 14 characters and seen off all the lame ending there was nothing really to come back to the game for. I was beyond shocked. If the Pocket Fighter gameplay wasn't so addictive I would have tossed it years ago. Still great games none the less.

After finally 100%ing Breath of the Wild (seriously, if you have the game, don´t try it. It´s a long, long task), I´m back to the Saturn and going back to Lemmings 3D. I did a small handful of levels a while ago just to try it out and then kinda left it.
I´m back on it though, and it´s fun. It´s really complicated (especially as it has a button that changes what all the buttons do), which makes it less fun than the 2D Lemmings games, but it´s still a neat little puzzle game.
My major gripe is the loading times. For a game where retrying again and again is a regular occurrence, those load times are painful.

I was a huge fan on the 2D Lemmings game, completed almost every single of them from legendary 1 on Amiga, many variations, megadrive versions, to the PSP version. Shame Sony bought the license and stopped publishing more games though.
So I did try 3D Lemmings too, but was bored quite rapidly. As you said, load times are tough to tolerate, and I cannot see what the 3D brings to the game.

I guess 3D just allowed them to do different types of puzzles. There are so many Lemmings levels in the 2D games that they can´t really do much more, so I get why they give it a shot.
Personally, I think that if they release another it should be like Mario Maker where it is focused on creating and playing user levels. That´s probably the only thing they could really do that would feel fresh. Stick in a singleplayer with a collection of the best levels, and it would be pretty legit.
Anyway yeah, I am enjoying 3D Lemmings but it really feels like it isn´t fit for consoles. At least for that generation.

I've decided to start another assault on Dragon Force. This time playing as Gongos, which I believe is the hardest campaign mode. Given the bad type matchups early on, as well as having vulnerable bases and being easily attacked by Zanon.

Taking a break from Lemmings (I think I am going to take a break after each difficulty level) and started playing Titan Wars. It´s a lot better than I expected. It runs really smooth and the cutscenes are fantastic. My only gripe it seems that it´s really hard (although I am only on level 3). Maybe I just suck at it.

Considering the ammount of reviews i've read, Titan Wars really is hard.

Yeah it is. It´s a shame there isn´t a difficulty select as it stops it from being a game you can just pick up and have fun with, like Panzer Dragoon. With Titan Wars you can only really get so far before the game starts kicking your arse.

Just finished disc 1 of Saga. I have to say, I am pleasantly surprised. I don´t like JRPGs so was a bit hesitant going in.... but yeah, the story is good so far with decent voice acting, the music is phenomenal, and the battle system is actually a lot of fun (in a JRPG! something very rare IMO....).
So yeah, I´m happy with it, although I am clueless as to the best Dragon stat combination. I like decent attack and def, but with reasonable spirit and then a bit smaller agility, however, I am still not sure if that is the best combo for me yet.
