Currently playing Soukyugurentai (and having a great time with it) and also playing Out Run on 3ds it’s a superb port and I’m absolutely loving it.

This month my podcast is doing a Saturn special, so I've been replaying some great titles that I've picked.
Currently though I'm replaying Dark Savior. Such a great game!

Sega Ages Vol. 1 arrived so naturally I played Outrun and Afterburner II (which I begin to like, years ago I thought this game was impossible). Managed to find a PAL copy for a reasonable price (around 20$), although it's missing the manual (which is available online so no big deal). Until AR cart and imports arrive it's the only Saturn game I've got for now.

I get to the 5th battle and then I die. Other Saturn games I've been playing are Winning Post, World Heroes Perfect and Herc's Adventures.

Booted up Sega Rally again - only to be greeted with a save file corrupt message Anyhow - carried on and played a bit. Beat the game after 2 or 3 tries but a massive 4 seconds slower my previous best time - I'm currently in the 3:27s. Also gave Fighters Megamix a quick play last night (JP version). I really am piss poor at fighting games. Couldn't beat the 1st fighter on the Novice course! Switched to survival mode and managed a few victories on that.

Try using Pai or Tokoi, they're quite good characters for non experts at fighting games.

I'm currently back on Tomb Raider. I'm determined to finish the game come hell or high water. I must admit the mechanics of the controls are really starting to grate on me now.

Just started a run of Diablo III on the Switch, did not play a Diablo game since 1996. I am enjoying myself. This game is brutal and always the same. Not even reading the story, just clicking away baddies to slash them open and hoping to find more loot. How long can the fun last ?

Okay, it's FINALLY happened. I have just completed Tomb Raider for the first time ever. And I must say the ending is such a wet blanket. For all the crap it put me through, impossible secrets, death defying jumps e.t.c I expected better. Instead of feeling joy for having finally completed it, all I feel is anger. I'm super dissapointed. I'm starting to feel how SpanishAdam feels about the game. At least that's another high calibre notch on my Saturn game completion belt. As good as most parts of the game were, I have absolutely no desire to EVER play Tomb Raider again. EVER
Next game I'll be tackling this year for completion is either Exhumed ot Titan War.

That is pretty much exactly how I felt after playing it.
While I appreciate that some parts were really good, my final impression is "fuck that game"

I was actually pretty wowed by Tomb Raider's ending. I wish more video games had interactive endings like that; from the very beginning of the game, the exploration and environments in Tomb Raider felt like much more of a reward than the FMV cutscenes (and this coming from a guy who frickin' loves FMV).

REALLY! A pyramid explodes and she swims to a speed boat and all that lasts for less than a minute. Of course its all subjective but I struggle to see what it is you could like about a 45 second FMV ending. It's ridiculously underwhelming. Even putting aside what the game demands on a player, that ending is below standards for any game.
