I wish I had picked up the Thunderforce Gold packs when the prices were still sensible back when I started importing. Thunderforce III on Megadrive is a brilliant game.

Spent some time with Die Hard Arcade yesterday, which I hadn’t played before. Really enjoyed it even if I wasn’t particularly good at the start.
Then moved on to Touring Car and Sega Rally, with a little Daytona thrown in.

Pro Pinball The Web. Excellent game - especially when you learn the table and start getting into focussed "proper" play.

Always get the urge to play through Quake Saturn once a year or so. Trying to do a 100% run (100% enemies and 100% secrets) on Normal to add to the fun. So far about half way through the game and 596/596 on kills and 58/58 on secrets. Love playing through this game every time. I think I find myself appreciating things like the dynamic lighting more each play through.

Played a bunch of Christmas Nights yesterday, obviously!!! On my newly reuilt setup as well - I've got a nice 34" CRT in an old walnut entertainment center, and with the power of some nice splitters, I've managed to hook 20 consoles up to the thing at once. For saturn, it's component through a Joytech splitter. Interesting how the in-game stuff looks amazing, but the high res images you win for presents almost look off because of the scanlines - they're so sharp you can tell detail is being lost!
Anyway - happy holidays, hope everyone got to play a bit of Nights themselves!

This Coronavirus has meant more Saturn playing than usual.
Currently enjoying Winning Post and Iron Storm at the moment.
And for the first time trying to complete Nights and finish every level on a grade C or a above. The 3D controller really does make a difference.

Testing the new Retro-Bit Saturn wireless controller which is working fine, I've played more Iron Storm and I'm getting so good at it now, having won a few battles. Such an addictive and underrated Saturn gem. Also played Dead or Alive which still plays as good as the day it came out. Finally finishing up with some Quake and Die Hard Arcade. Fun times in lockdown.
